Larry Grenier January 27, 2008 Share January 27, 2008 (edited) OK so maybe I started this thread a little early but I'll be back for updates as things evolve. Just contracted NAGA aka "Pimped-out Aquariums" to build a custom 42"/24"/22" with large external overflow acrylic tank! That makes it about 96 gallons before offset by "stuff". I'll be starting the stand & hood/lights soon. Progress pics coming soon. Psyched Proposed LR setup and coral placement: Proposed Lighting Configuraton: Modified 4/14/08 Corresponds to LR setup & coral placement above. I like T5 for brightness/watt & VHO for Actinic. treesprite February 28, 2008 Share February 28, 2008 hey it's been a month - maybe you should do a quick nano and call it a prototype so we have some tank pictures and your thread is in the guidelines

Larry Grenier March 10, 2008 Author Share March 10, 2008 (edited) Stayed up until 11:30 last night working on the stand. Quazi cut the top, bottom, & sides for me on his saw but last night was me, a box of screws, a tube of glue, an electric hand drill, my little plastic miter box, a HAND SAW, and a bunch of 2/4s! I'll get pics when I have something to show-off. Edited March 10, 2008 by Larry Grenier
Larry Grenier April 15, 2008 Author Share April 15, 2008 Finished the stand over the weekend... finally. Working on the hood now & realized I couldn't fit all 7 bulbs with reflectors in there and have any room at all to work. 4 T5s & 2 VHOs should do the trick. Got my return pump & oversized skimmer. Picked-up a few nice pieces of base rock at BRK & a WAMAS member and some live rock from Lanman(Bob) The 30 gal fuge with live sand from a few WAMAS members, a little live rock, a bunch of macros from BRK & a few WAMASers, & a few snails is now teeming with pods! I feed the fuge a little dry food daily. Expect to have the hood finished by the weekend & plumbing soon. Following run-in will be Kalk reactor & auto-top-off. Pics coming soon.
