I have a 60 ATI Sunpower T5 fixture over my 125 and a few of the individual reflectors have bent and come loose by the aluminum stretching over the screw which holds them in place. With the reflectors, I think the light puts out may put out too much light for most of my corals. Has anyone ever run a t5 fixture without reflectors? Is it a fire hazard, or any danger by doing this? Couldn't find anything online, but thinking about running without reflectors. Any and all advice/experience appreciated!

Depends on what you want. Corals, fish everything 1800. Just tank, lights sump skimmer etc 1000

Bubble Algae. Very obtrusive if you don't get ahead of it. Take the roach out and manually remove with frag tool or tweezers.

You can try to carefully scrape them off with a razor blade. They will typically survive if you can get them along the glass.

I have an AWI 5 stage that is in the garage. Produces 2% Ro to 29% waste. Kids recently moved out so can bring inside. Does temperature have an affect? Should I invest in a booster pump? Have a fairly large tank which I was going to sell but decided to stick with it for now. Thinking about replacing filters, adding tds and psi but having it in the elements is my main concern. Looking for advice cause this thing is gotten worse over the years. Filters all less than 10 months old - currently running off hose bib in garage....

I bought the 50w the other day but returned it before opening. Was going to use for a frag tank but not ready yet. From what I saw, if you're looking at anything other than softies, the 100w would be the choice. Following along as i am interested as well...

I'm looking to buy a new refugium light and was considering the Kessil Tuna Flora or the ChaetoMax. Does anyo ne have experience good/bad with either, or have other suggestions that are working well for you?

I've noticed I sometimes get a coating on the surface of the water in my sump. I've increased flow which has helped but still get it on occasion. I've never put a powerhead to increase flow in a sump before, and asking if anyone has ever done this and what were the results? TIA

I have a blue/gren chromis that jumped into one of my corner overflows. I'm making a diy trap out of a water bottle now but leaving town in the morning. Any body have any ideas or past success getting a fish out of an overflow?
