  1. Rik, just tryed to pm you and I couldn't. I've got at least two aussie acans for you including the rainbow one and a nice green one. The red yuma is ready to go, but I think I want to slice my two halves again so I've got four. I'll then get you yours so I've got three to work from. G.
  2. Rik, are you setting up a tank? I'm looking for a millie or two. I'll bring that acan I mentioned and I'll frag up another one as well if you want. G.
  3. IMO pods are opportunistic scavengers and will only eat/prey upon sick/dying corals, not healthy ones. I've had zoas colonies that were in bad shape directly adjacent to healthy zoas. I would witness the pods eating the sicks colonies, but they never touched the healthy ones. My guess is that they zoas were sick before the pods started eating. This doesn't mean that there are no pods in existence that eat zoas... G.
  4. I picked one up at Southern States in Manassas. I'm sure any feed or tractor supply will carry them. Garrett.
  5. Doug, you got my name on some stuff as well? G.
  6. I didn't bother checking your math, but using the approximated formula to calculate volume of V(inches^3)/231 = gallons I get 7.7g Garrett. I looked... your math is wrong. You divided, you should have mulitplied. So...: 1.03083(ft^3)/x(gal) = 1(ft^3)/7.481(gal)--> x = 7.481(gal)/1.03083(ft^3)--> x = 7.257258714 (gal) Change that to 7.418*1.03083 and you'll be closer to 7.64 gallons. G.
  7. Yeah, but the conversion from metric to standard would suck. G.
  8. You could always use tsps, or 1/4 tsps for real accuracy. G.
  9. Zoas will be just fine when placed next to each other. I have never experienced inter-species aggression with zoanthids. Garrett.
  10. Chris, if you've got an extra frag of that Psammocora let me know. Garrett.
  11. :( Boo for you. I hear if you don't go to the meeting, you don't get your prize. So take that. And if you do go to the meeting I might be able to hunt you down a little aussie acan. G.
  12. What's your magnesium at? How much SPS and clams are we talking here? Is the tank mostly frags and slow growing clams (ie maximas and croceas), or is it mature with large colonies and fast growing clams (gigas, derasa, squammies)? G.
  13. Nice job Luciano. You schmuck. G.
  14. I'm looking for a few nice milli frags. Trying my luck with SPS after all these years. I might be fragged out at the moment, but I do have the ever popular cash. Let me know what ya got. Garrett.
  15. I came home today and was lucky enough to watch my female lay her eggs. (The clown, not prior mentioned girlfriend) I wish I could have shot some video. Seems that it's becoming a regular thing (knock on wood). Hopefully in the future I can shoot some footage. G.
  16. You can drill it while it is filled with H2O. It's been done before. That being said, as you don't have much in there I would transfer everything over to your sump (as Jason said, a 10g or 20g tank work just fine) and then you could drill the tank while it's dry. What are you planning on housing in your sump? Skimmer, refugium, heater, return pump??? This will give you an idea of how large it should be and how you should lay it out. Garrett.
  17. If you want to. I don't and it works just fine. G.
  18. Tech was the best 7ish years of my life. Seriously. G.
  19. I'm kinda a quality, not quanity guy... but whatever works for you Chip. G.
  20. Chris, I'm going to love buying this tank off of you in three months when you upgrade. G.
  21. It will rust fairly quickly. IME and IMO it won't kill anything. That being said, use a magnet to get it out. Either a magfloat or some other magnet. You'll find it in no time. Garrett.
  22. Jason, I think Bob does have point with that one (no pun intended). G.
  23. I always like it when it "snows" on my little reef. Reminds me of Christmas. G.
  24. How much do you charge non-members? G.
  25. Don't hate on the citroen. Those things are hot. My old man used to own a D-series sedan when we lived in Italy. Gotta love the hydraulic suspension. G.
