After an incredible chain reaction caused by a pump failure on my old skimmer that resulted in 50+ gallons of water on the floor, I've decided to completely rework my tank setup. I had a 180g tank that was pretty much fish only for the past two years (one fish for most of that time LOL). I've decided to get back in the reef scene big time. I'm currently building a system that will be a little under 400 gallons total. Here's some info on the setup along with a few photos. So far, I have everything I need except the display tank. Hopefully I'll have that crucial piece within the next two weeks. Display tank

I'm looking to buy a sheet of Formica laminate for the top of my aquarium stand. Home Depot no longer carries it, and the choices are limited at Lowes. Where else can I find this locally?

I'll check out the 250. I looked at the 200 then went straight to the 300. I don't want to run into an issue where I'll have to swap out again. I just bought the mini 200 about 3 months ago. It's doing great on my temporary 65 btw.

I've been wondering what those were, I thought they were baby snails. I have them in my refugium, but I've never seen once in my display. I guess my six line has been taking care of them.

I saw the Alpha 200 in person @ BRK yesterday. I'm in the process of upgrading my whole system. Once I'm done, total water volume will be over 400 gallons. I plan on running the 200 for a while to see if it can keep up, but I'll probably end up getting rid of it.

Nice! I debating on whether or not to swap my BK mini 200 out for a Alpha 300.

Thanks. I'm gonig to give it a shot and place them in a small container with some liverock rubble. they should be free from predators there.

I'd install another raised baffle just before the return chamber to cut down on air bubbles. I have a very similar setup on my 90 gallon.
