Samething happened to me when I first hooked up the skimmer. You have to raise the riser tube higher until it reaches half way up the collection cup.

I received my ASM G3 Skimmer about a week ago, and it took about 2 days to fully break in. Once I had recieved it, I ran the skimmer in a tub with vinegar for 5 hours. After that I rinsed it with water and put it in my sump. You also have to adjust the riser tube so that the water level of the skimmer can go higher. People recommend to raise the tube until the water level reaches half way up the collection cup. Mohsin.

I just recieved my ASM G3 yesterday, and I was very impressed. The skimmer was shipped out the same day, and had excellent packaging. The skimmer itself is awesome, ran it through vinegar for a day. Today it is producing very dark skimmate. This skimmer is an overkill for my tank, but I am going to have a high bioload. So this will help to keep the load down. Mohsin.

Very nice tank..I am considering turning my 29g into a Seahorse tank. I am getting about 40lbs of liverock and a used remora this weekend. What is an ideal temperature for keeping seahorses? How much flow should you have? I have 1 Maxijet 1200, but I also have 2 small aquaclear powerheads. As for lighting, right now I have a 150w hqi metal halide pendant. Is there going to be any problems using metal halides beside the heat problem? How many seahorses can you have in a single tank? Does anybody know where the Feb. Meeting is going to be held? I have had my ph monitor for about 5 months now, and I need to get new calibration fluids. Do I need to get both ph 4 and ph 7 or do I just need ph 7? I forgot how I calibrated it before, do I just put the meter in ph 7 and calibrate it til it goes to 7.0? Thanks, -Mohsin

Thanks for your advice. My anthias all eat Cyclopleeze, and so does all my other fish. The blueface is not a full sized angel. It is a juvenile angel. I am sure that my skimmer can handle all my fish. My corals died because of the bulbs. I found a coral that fell in a cave, and its perfectly fine, but all my other corals started bleaching that were in the light. So, I just ordered new 150w 15k XM bulbs.
