1. Hey Mike, I have 6-8" rock that I would consider trading for a similar sized peice of standard "clean" live rock. I has about 40 brown-green polyps with some greens mixed in (I think), 2 sarcophytons (each about 3"), and fat 5-6" tall capnella on it. Will send a pic if interested. Avoids pointy elbows at the freebee table!
2. Sharon, We had talked before about some capnella (and others) I sent pics of. I've got some fairly good sized (5-6") pieces on rocks that will bring if you want. I'll look for you at the meeting. Doesn't have a famous name that I know of, but I know it is HARDY! (ie, even I cannot kill) Doug
3. Will have a few at work in Reston anytime you want to stop by. Have a SB party out by your house on Sun if you are going to be around before the game, or could just drop behind the fence. Will need directions though.
4. Have a number of 18x18" (or maybe 17x18?) sheets of 1/4" plastic. Not 100% sure if it is Lexan, or maybe acrylic. I may just take a hammer to one and see!! Slight gray tint. Laser cut edges. Good for parts or small sumps/refugiums? Gluing is the same though, so who cares. Could bring to winter meeting if someone wants. Trade for frags maybe? Doug

6. Many of us have had a similar experiences with those powerheads. Mine exploded showering my corals with black soot/ash. No losses, but vowed never to use again. Contacting customer service or support through the LFS to the manufacturer was futile. Yet for some reason, inexperience leads us to buy them until things like this happen, then we learn. BREAK THE CYCLE! Newbies avoid!
7. free capnella, as usual. ft/fs large 60+ yellow polyp rock sarcophyton various sizes green monitipora caps (Ctreptow, gudgreef....) pink birds nest frags (ousnakebite, Scott711....) green torch, yellow tip - 1 head (ctreptow) green with pink tip digitata acros for trade only: dark purple, purple tip with yellow-green polyps (Michaelg,Tang-away) green with blue tips green with purple tip (Tang-away) Don't ask me names, not smart enough pm me for pics. Bottlebrush Michael?
8. where are you so someone can recommend somewhere close.
9. Leaving for vacation tomorrow. I stuck an iron for you guys to use in Krish's front door. Hopefully he will find it before he trips over it! Let me know things progress, and if not this weekend I will see you next.
10. If you go DIY route, LEDs come in 2 types, narrow and wide dispersion. Narrow dispersion gives a more point source, but does give a little more of a shimmer (kinda like MH's can do). Wide can give more of a whole tank iradescence, but less shimmer. All up to you. There's a lot of DIY's out there, but LMK if there is any wiring/component troubles if you go that route.
11. As if you had not made up your mind already, I will chime in. Though I have not ordered from reeefer rocks, I was not happy with the very dense, minimal number of rocks I got with the "premium" package I ordered from Hirocks. Doug
12. DOH! NEVERMIND, I DO NOT HAVE THE PROPER TRANSFORMERS. ORIGINAL: If you still want to meet this weekend if we get the floats in, we can. When I get the kitchen pass, I take it! I have to admit that I have all the parts/components needed to make one or two here if you want to know how to put things together and solder. Even the pheonix connectors. My relay would be different though (but I will ook for a smaller), and we'd still need the electrical boxes and outlets from Lowes. LMK
13. I can get whatever parts and irons to give to someone next week if this does not happen Sun. I was hoping to see Jake's setup too. But alas, I will be playing Shadow Creek in Vegas next weekend. I will have a beer for you guys while out on the course though! Krish might be the closest to drop off to (as I think he wanted some of these extra power supplies I have anyway). Krish?
14. Sorry, didn't mean to sound like and a$$. gvl]]
15. picked up a 5500W generator, but most likely, I will be using it out here in the boonies of Purcellville if the slighest snowflake will fall. But, if anyone needs something...... cell 703-395-5190
16. Howard, I appreciate you totaling, but NO PCB = no boards!!!! I am only looking for the 2 floatswitches ($6 thingies that you are calling topoffs). Not the boards! Please don't include me in the pcb order/board order/whatever that thing is with copper lines, solder, and those little components with colored lines and numbers on it. Doug
17. I am only looking for the 2 floatswiches, not the pcb as I am using DC from another source and my own relay. I don't mind getting the more expensive ones as long as we can get them in. The all seem to be about the same in my opinion, just price differences, and who you trust.
