  1. Jake Adams had a new video 2 days ago where he has some mollies still in his tanks. Watching it, I thought that the orange one could belong in a reef tank. Hope all of yours make it through the transition. Here's the video referenced:
  2. Thanks all. The CB Regal Angel is awesome. I have read on R2R that people have had issues keeping them because of how small they are. Some don't make it after a few days. I am glad I didn't just throw this guy to the main tank. Speaking of the main tank, guess who is all bubbly? But, the CSB popped up in the middle of my torch garden, so I have to move a rock and cram alot of the torches together. Using a powerhead to convince this guy to be bubbly somewhere else. Maybe it is just mocking me before he burns up some torches to get back at me for cutting him twice.
  3. Thanks. Are you thinking of a captive bred one? The wild ones I have had only picked on zoas. Will see if this guy will behave differently being captive bred. I have a lot of copepods and amphipods in that tank. I have been seeing him picking off the rocks. I am hoping I am not training him to only eat live food. LOL.
  4. Added a fish to the side tank! Anyone have experience with a captive bred Regal Angel? It is about an 1 inch long so I didn't want to put it in the main display. It eats TDO pellets and picking off the pods on the rocks. It may make me clean my glass more in the side tank.
  5. Did a water change yesterday on the side tank and cleaned the front glass panel. My collection of long polyps toadstools(still searching for THE Weeping Willow) all opened up. The only leather that didn't participate in this video is the yellow Fiji leather. Maybe next time I will get all of them to have polyps extension.
  6. Is that why you haven't picked up my Indo Rainbow Torch? That HW is coloring up amazing in that tank.
  7. Usually bacteria that affects torches and hammers will cause polyp bailouts or brown jelly disease. Have you had those issues? If yes, you can do antibacterial treatments(Cipro/Chemiclean).
  8. Thanks. Glad to hear you are setting up a tank again. I remembered you had an awesome Blastos collection. Hope I can grow out the HOTO and PM. But will probably be a while.
  9. Which LPS have you tried? I can keep torches, hammers, and Duncans very well but struggled with Chalice and Acans(micromussa). Maybe tried all the different varieties of LPS? Parameters look good. Some people would like to see the magnesium in the 1500 mark for torches. My Trident tells me I am at 1516 for Mag, but I don't dose it. I do have magnesium rocks in my calcium reactor 2nd chamber. Hope you figure it out.
  10. The Reef Brite XHO Hybrid looks interesting. Can you control color spectrum of each individual strip? For example, I have a Geismann hybrid fixture with 2 Blue Plus, 1 Coral Plus and 1 Purple Plus ATI bulbs. Can I replicate each of those bulb's spectrum with the Reef Brite XHO Hybrid? Or I will pretty much get equivalent of 4 Blue Plus?
  11. Thanks. HOTO is a sapphire blue and is tough to photograph. This is the best color representation I can get with my phone camera. My Oregon Tort has slight aquamarine green to its blue body. The HOTO is much bluer than the Oregon Tort.
  12. Got some new frags in a couple of days ago. Hoping to re-introduce the Purple Monster and Heart of the Ocean(HOTO) back around WAMAS. Both are unfortunately slow growers. PM in the front with the twin branches and the HOTO is the blue acro on the right of the frag rack. HOTO is much bluer than an Oregon Tort: Also trimmed some torches to make some room for the TSA HG. It is the yellowish one in the front middle in this video:
  13. Bring back the 120? Dulles Glass and Mirrors have custom prices on line: https://dgm-prod.azurewebsites.net/custom-glass Will be way cheaper to find a cracked tank or Petco $1/gal tank and cut.
  14. Sounds awesome Marcos. Look like you decided to get the Abyzz to push the water up to the next floor.
  15. I did not see the Regal go after the clam like he has the whole week. Changed my mine and decided to treat Regal in the side tank with PraziPro. Better not risk all the corals in the main tank. Hopefully, he gets better in the side tank. I plan to do 2 treatments of PraziPro.
  16. 120g parallel the 22 nano and the 80g against the back wall?
  17. Thanks Eric for chiming in and providing valuable input. I don't think I can get all the fish out and treat them in a separate tank without breaking down alot of the tank. I've been trying to catch this one Evansi that is bullying the Bimacs for weeks without success. I would like to make sure all the fish get some kind of internal parasite treatment at this point. I will review the links you provided to see what is the best medication path for the this tank. Thanks.
  18. Gonna nuke the main display with PraziPro since I have seen enough fish eating the stringy white poop over the last couple of days. I know it is reef safe. But capturing some corals in pics in case things goes south.
  19. Ok. Guess I will get him to the side tank and prazipro him.
  20. Got a quarantined Regal Angel from a reputable online seller that I've used before on March 8th. It's been eating okay the last week or so. Today I saw the longest white stringy poop coming out of the Regal. It was at least 8-10" long. That got sucked in to the Gyre and got broken up. Then I saw another long white stringy poop hang out of him and was able to capture this video: Do you think the fish could have gotten internal parasites from my tank? I haven't added fish for months, prior to this Regal Angel. I have seen it picked on rocks. I have given him frozen clams, which I have seen him ripping off some healthy chunks. Do you think he could of gotten internal parasites from the frozen clams?
  21. You got my vote of 120. But I don't know if you are going to have too different of a fish selection between a 4' 80g vs. 4' 120g. I think length usually allows you to get to a different category of fish. But you've done wonders with a small tank, just interested to see what you do next with a bigger canvas.
  22. Thanks. The one you are referring to that is in front during the beginning of the video is BKChem's Garfield. According to BKChem, it is his equivalent of an Indo Rainbow torch. The most famous of which is ReefDreamz Dragon Tamer(Yeah... I know torch names). BKChem follows a strict regiment to make sure that the torches and corals he sells are aqua cultured. He goes through a couple of years to get to the final stage. Therefore his torches are pretty hardy and full of flesh. It is a reason why it is tough to cut a single head as the flesh covers the stems a long way. PM me if you are interested in multiple heads. My bubble life was short lived. Back to none bubbling again.
  23. Went to check to see if the CSB can be split again and was trying to get it off a rock. It was stubborn so I brought it to the fuge to see if I can blow it off the rock with a power head blasting at it. No luck so I placed it back to the display the next morning. All that activities made it bubbled up. Meanwhile, probably need to start trimming some torches.
