  5. All the beneficial bacteria could have died off since you have no livestock and stopped ghost feeding. I'm not sure the snails are enough load to keep the bacteria up. I'm not sure but 2:1 seam pretty strong to leave rock in for a week. But I would chase any #s on this as this isn't a very big nuisance algea and should go away. Just an eyesore. 6. Also how much exterior light does the tank get. Like from a window? Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  7. What kind of acid for a week?? Seams a bit long. A week in most acids would probably completely dissolve the rock. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  8. Not so much these days it's more of light coverage and penetration most of the standard black boxes will cover 24x24 and give you about 27-30ish inches of usable penetration. Just look at what the light as far as a single led fixture if its not a high end ai or radion a light in the 16-24" range should give you the 30" coverage needed. But If you want to go cheap and only softies and a clam directly underneath light a single black box may suffice. Some come with leg mounts some are hanging kit only But most legs only suspend the fixture 5-6" off tank and you would need 8+ inches off for proper coverage depending on fixture Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  9. I know the photon has mounting legs but other than that most all others would need some sort of custom mount. Unless you go the AI or Ecotech route that has special designed mounts Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  10. Sorry thought I was on Richmond reefer...But a it2060 or photon 24 or similar would be plenty Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  11. The it2060 on the board for sale would be all the light needed. I'm assuming your talking about the AA reef crest? Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

  15. Also I would get a large peice off first then frag off of that out of tank so that way it's only one cut spewing toxins and not multiple. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

  20. I honestly think anything over 8-900 is overkill. 6-800 is what I like That way the skimmer has good reaction time. DT turnover all depends on what your trying to achieve on coral types could be 10x for softies or 50x for SPS dominate. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
