  1. I use the Tropical Eden reef flakes from Caribsea. It's the whitest live sand I've ever seen and you can get the larger flakes that don't blow around. I actually use a mix of the finer grains and the larger reef flakes. Here's what the sand looks like in my tank. These are two extra bags that I still have not used.
  2. Good comments from everyone R2R has alot of nice corals for sale in their sale forum. Definitely high end sellers frequent there
  3. Anyone have active accounts in both? I've been with RC since 2004 and the RC crowd are pretty helpful in general. I don't know too much about R2R but I went ahead and created an account there today.
  4. Fantastic looking colony Bruce! Yours is easily one of the biggest PMs that i've seen. David
  5. +1 vote for Saturday sale. +1 vote for buying from ERC website but with way to link to product from WAMAS forum. Is there any other special in addition to the $15 flat ship?
  6. Very cool! What is the fish at 1:18? David
  7. I Saw this passage posted by Incrediblecorals from the forum sticky. 14. INTERESTING FIND: If no new MI is introduce into an infected aquarium, the MI already there continues to cycle through multiple generations until about 10 to 11 months when the MI has worn itself out and becomes less infective. A tank can be free of an MI infestation if it is never exposed to new MI parasites for over 11 months. Basically if I don't introduce any new marine ich into my system for at least 11 months then the existing parasite will die out. Hmm...maybe its a better idea to wait it out and not stress my fish. David
  8. Any idea where it came from? Hitchhiker perhaps?
  9. Thank you for the insight. You're right that having fish in the main tank means there will always be a host for the ich. If I quarantine all the fish I think I may not go with hyposalinity and use a copper treatment instead. Has anyone uses Cupramine or other copper med with success? David
  10. I've been observing the regal and I'm pretty certain its ich. The white spots look like small salt crystals on her fin and some parts of her body. It does not look like the ich is spreading but that isn't a guarantee the situation is getting better. She's currently in the DT with some chromis, clowns, and a basslet. I plan to isolate her in a hospital tank once the spare heater arrives today. Copper treatment is an option but I think that is a more invasive treatment. David
  11. I'm sad to report that my new Regal Tang is showing signs of Ich since she's been introducted to my 93g. The good news is that she's eating, but I'd like to nip the Ich on the bud before it gets worse. I'm curious if anyone here has experience using hyposalinity as a treatment because I've read that this method is the least stressful on the fish. Any insight is welcome. David
  12. Pm me price and availability please
  13. Hi, I'm unable to send you a PM for some reason. I'm definitely interested in getting a regal if possible. These guys are extremely hard to find lol. You mentioned you have 4 sources for the red sea variety. When do you anticipate them getting some in stock? As for the grey belly( assume its the indo version?), how big is he? I heard getting the small juvis have a higher success rate for getting them acclimated and eating. David
  14. Do you guys have this for sale? I'm looking specifically for the Regal Angels from the Red Sea. Thanks, David
