  3. the national aquarium is great, I live in baltimore so I go fairly often. They don't have too many reef tanks, but they do have one nice reef tank.
  4. they are both great tanks, the IM is easier for you because it has the sump built into the back, but with the deep blue a sump could be an advantage.
  5. This is crazy, I was just wishing that I could go to MACNA in Colorado, however travel expenses would be too expensive. But Washington is like an hour drive, should be awesome! Congratulations to Wamas.
  6. does anyone know where I can buy 2 250 or 2 150 watt metal halide setups?
  7. Thank you but do you think a 400w halide will fry them?
  8. Hello, I have will be setting up a propagation tank for sps corals and bubble tip anemone's in the near future. I have a question about a certain lighting fixture I found on ebay and if it will be enough for my tank. The tank is a 50 gallon rubbermaid stock tank. It's 51 inches long, 30 inches wide and 12 inches deep. Thank you in advance. Here is the link to the light: http://www.ebay.com/itm/251578337343

  10. I agree, the more water volume, the less headaches for you.
  11. here is a really good video of a drilled biocube and the guy shows you how he drilled it. He also shows you how to take off the back filtration panel of the biocube.
  12. Fish are living animals, you never know how they are going to react. Kind of like large angelfish and corals, some eat corals, others don't. It's a gamble.
  13. This tank is a beast!
  14. Yellow tangs eat algae. They can also eat frozen foods and lots of pellet foods.
  15. group buys and certain stores like quantum reefs. They sometimes have salt sales.
  16. Nice setup! I like the refugium!
  17. I would get a paying membership, which gives you access to the buy/sell/wanted forms. There are always good deals on there.
  18. Definitely get a sump
  19. Found an aquarium on craigslist for sale, good price. Not my sale, but though I would point it out to someone who would be interested in it. Link: https://baltimore.craigslist.org/app/4362191969.html
  20. my first tank was a beta tank, then when I was 10 I got a 20 gallon freshwater angelfish tank.
  21. I was wondering, what do public aquariums use to heat their tanks? Large heaters or something else?
