We have not had any casualties in the last few weeks. We have however, noticed long a long white stringy substance forming on the top edge of the tank. The Sea urchin has seemed to grab these white strings and they are now stuck to his body. Our large anemone is moving, it seems to be getting closer to the gorgonian.

We are starting to get worried. We can't seem to find our seastar. We also have lost our yellow fox face. Is there any change that the serpent brittle star could be behind all of this? Observations made by students: The anemones and gorgonian seem to change when the light is off in the tank. The seastar one day was on top of a snail. Was he eating it? The sea urchin has been moving more and more.

How can we tell if the sea star is boy or girl? Are there any poisonous sea stars? How long can a sea star and anemones live? If a sea star does not have a brain, how does it move? How does a sea star eat?

This is our second class at Emerick and we have some questions about our chocolate chip starfish and anemones. We tried not to duplicate questions. Where are the eyes on the starfish? How do the starfish get their bumps? What do starfish eat? How does a starfish move? Does an anemone eat? How do they reproduce or multiply?
