Steve over at QR told me about this site if you need a long cable for the apex. They even call it the apex cable. Its what they are using in the shop and I will be getting one as well

Buy what you like. I have a pair or ocis that breed and a pair of platinums that's also mate. It's all your preference. Don't buy because of what others want.
I would give Neptune a call and they can share your screen with Team Viewer to get it setup to the net. They were very helpful when I was initially setting mine up and having troubles with the network configuration.
hahaha I always forget you don't dose anything. I would imagine that you will see even better growth than you already do with the ability to keep everything at a stable level.
I have been using the beta for the past month or so and it has worked very well. The interface is much easier to use and the network setup is beyond easy. I switched ISPs during the beta and had to do nothing in order to gain access on almy local or external network. Haven't had any issues and enjoy how quickly the system responds.
I ended up going with bio-pellets in the reactor for my IM16 for that very reason and just dose the bacteria and other zeo products rather than the full blown Zeo setup I have on my 90 gallon. I think getting the proper flow is possible but you will definitely need to get everything dialed in with a little extra work.
Looks like it's coming along well. You might want to look into the IM media reactor. It could help you regulate the flow and let you shake the rocks. You would just need to mark the position.
Decided to give the eshopp nano a shot. I'm running bio-pellets so a skimmer is necessary. So far it seems to be pretty stable and I'm still surprised I was able to jam it in there. I'm still going to be looking at other options down the road.
The instructions are clear as day and easy to use, the kits are well labeled and a big plus is that you can buy the reagents separate when you run out rather than having to buy the whole kit over again.
