  1. Not sure if the flow question was for me but I have a Gyre 150 and Jebao 12000 return on my tank. I will definitely keep you posted. Good luck!
  2. I'm going through the same battle right now with my new180. I don't even have any corals in it yet-just fish, CUC and a RBTA. I'm 24 hours into a 72 hour black out. I started dosing waste away (two 1/2 doses so far, as not to overdose) for the first time a couple days ago to see if the bacteria would begin to out compete the dino (not sure if it will work). I was thinking about going the h2o2 route but wasn't sure how the RBTA would react. Put food in the tank but didn't see any fish come out to eat, they're all hiding. Never fed fish in the dark, not sure what to expect.
  3. welcome and good luck! It looks like you're off to a really good start. Can't wait for the build thread.
  4. What type of coral is that on the first post, the third picture down? The coral is purple with pink polyps. Absolutely gorgeous tank!
  5. Yeah, I tried that too. They are sending me another wet side. Thanks for the tip though.
  6. Congratulations! I got mine on Friday and it worked until Saturday night. Then he red light started flashing. I took it apart to make sure nothing was obstructing the motion and it hasn't worked since. I've been in touch with Carlos today and he's been extremely helpful. I have a 6 foot tank 180 and he was moving sand at the other side of the tank. When it was working it was incredible! Just wondering if anybody else may have had this issue?
  7. A fan-went to University of Cincinnati, but I lived in Columbus for a while where you don't have a choice but to be a Buckeye. LOL
  8. You were in Columbus Ohio!?! Go Buckeyes! My wife would never approve another tank if I didn't say that. This build absolutely perfect!
  9. Congratulations WAMAS!!!!! A big thanks to everyone involved that made this happen. I was soooo bummed that I couldn't make it to Denver this time around--now this!!!!!!!!! What fantastic news; I couldn't be more excited!
  10. All I can say is, " simply stunning "!!
  11. WOW! You're good. Thanks for bringing those additional details to my attention. You can never be too prepared! Sent from my iPhone
  12. Ohhhhh, well now it make sense (lol)! Thanks, I really appreciate it! I'm getting ready to do some plumbing on a 180 build (still need to start that thread) and was looking up info on manifolds. I'll go ahead and order it and also the supplies I need from BRS. I'll probably need some help; so, thanks for the offer!
  13. I know this is an old thread, but does anyone know where to get the type of manifold that's pictured above? I've been all over that website, but I don't see them selling that type with those valves anymore. Sent from my iPhone
  14. Because, I built this sump into the new stand that I modified for this upgrade for this bio cube. So, it may just be easier and cheaper(if I get something off of craigslist) to start over.
  15. Thanks for the info. I'll be taking the sump off line today and dry it out for maybe 3 weeks or so just to be sure. If that doesn't work I'll have to dip into the fund that I have for my 300 gallon tank build to get another small tank first (or maybe a 90 gallon) to replace this one.
  16. If things don't look any better today then I'll take the sump off-line and empty it out to let it dry out. Does anyone know how long I should let it dry out or is it impossible to use this sump because of the silicone? Will this continue to be a problem in the future even after it's dry?
