  1. White flex seal being applied. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Yes, a Aquabox Sump that I already have will go inside. I’m going to spray the entire inside with flex seal. Either clear or white. Probably white. Lol.... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Canopy is almost complete. The blue paint will be the final color for the whole thing. It will be aquamarine and sanded for a weathered look. I am happy with the way it’s turning out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Me and my buddy are working on it. He’s actually better than me. I am doing things differently from lessons learned in the past. The doors will actually be panels that are held in place by magnets. Makes a huge difference when it comes to ease of access Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Getting closer.... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I think that this is the best option and plan to plumb that way Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. I’m using the Herbie method so main flow will be through the primary return and a secondary line with a trickle. You guys know the drill. I’m thinking direct flow through UV should work. Thanks for the input. Flow inside the tank will be two Mp40’s and 2 WAV Pumps so overall flow should suffice.. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Thanks so much for the input. I’m thinking if I minimize all the bends I should be good to go with the setup flow wise. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Clarification. My return pump is a Vectra L2 rated at 3200 gph. The UV is a Lifeguard aquatics 55w. Per their instruction manual they recommend a flow rate of 2100 gph. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Option C would treat the Water with UV without it going into sump . The water would go from the UV to the return pump chamber. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Thanks for the input. With Option C I think I misspoke. What I was trying to say, was with a Y pipe coming off the return line going into the sump, controlled with a ball valve, divert water to the UV then to the return chamber back to the display. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  13. I’m trying to figure out the best way to install a UV for my new 300 gallon tank build. Option A would be with its own pump in the skimmer chamber of my sump with the water being dumped into the return pump area or Option B which would utilize a manifold coming off the return pump into the skimmer then back to the pump return chamber or lastly, Option C which would utilize a Y connection coming off the return line going to the sump then to the skimmer then to the return chamber. Thoughts? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Had to pause for a few weeks. Today I started on the panels. No doors as the panels will be held in place by magnets. This will definitely help with access to the sump. Pressed for time so between finishing the canopy and painting the whole thing I think I’m about 3 weeks away from completion. Slow going but the end result will be worth it.The struggle continues. Lol! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
