Lol! I started 10/22. The goal was to get this done in 3 weeks. A lot of DIY stuff involved. DIY Radion rail hanging kit,(will do that this weekend) DIY screen tops, polishing and buffing the acrylic, was a bear. Had to do it with 1000 grit, then 2000 grit, then with Novus acrylic system. Arm was hurting after all of that. Had to also disassemble and repaint the stand as well. Not to mention setting up a 72 gallon quarantine tank and aquarium equipment room. Doing the plumbing shouldn't be so bad. Still got to set up a few other things. Next week the water will be in. It was tough but I'm getting it done. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Did a little bit of research and found out that sodium percarbonate is the active ingredient in Oxi clean. I guess that's why someone used it for crush coral.

Has anyone heard of cleaning old crushed coral with Oxi Clean? Saw this in a thread somewhere so I am curious as I have some that needs to be cleaned.

Wasn't bad at all. I sanded and buffed it out all in one day. Its so light and easy to work with as opposed to glass. Yes, it scratches a lot easier but its so much lighter and stronger. Me and my buddy lift the tank with ease. Painting the stand and hanging the 4 Radions this week. Got to buy the rail kit. Went to Home depot and purchased everything for the supply and return lines. bought the gate valve and check valve on Amazon. If all goes well, the plumbing will be done by the end of the week. I want to have it filled with water by next week. I am not playing!!!

My 46" inch long custom made Aqua Box sump, my UV sterilizer and my European quick release hinges that were really rusted. I used apple cider vinegar to clean then up. A 2 day soak but it really work well. Highly recommend the apple cider vinegar for rust removal.

I had this tank in storage for about 3 years. I'm finally in a place where I can set it up and enjoy the hobby again. The tank is 8 feet long and I will be posting pictures in shortly. I will be cleaning the haze of the acrylic starting tomorrow. The goal is to have it up and running in about 3 weeks. Here goes!
