  1. Wow, great pics. What angle of optics do you have on those LEDs?
  2. Hey, that's a nice calculator. I'm glad it has the optics calculations.
  3. WOW! Just wow. Talk about having to wear a glove to do any maintenance in the tank.
  4. x2, all sorts of stuff finds it's way into the sump or "GI Joe secret underwater training facility" as it's known in the imagination of young kids A cabinet lock helps alot.
  5. Hey, welcome to the club. I lol'd at the "I'd frag that" t-shirt listed on your website
  6. Well, I don't know about the bristleworms, but I detest the asterina stars. The small ones that I find grazing on algae either on the glass or on the rock are fine. But the moment I see a big one fully enveloping the head of a zoa that was perfectly happy the day before, he is out of the tank faster than you can say "low-down dirty varmint". (When I see an asterina, I have caught myself saying "I keel you!". Jeff Dunham fans will understand what I mean) Regarding big bristleworms, I wonder what food source they have in order to reach that size anyway?
  7. How long will the move take? One nice LFS back in Florida actually had a holding tank system setup to help customers with moves or in case of tank problems/leaks. The system was separate and not connected to any other tanks. I don't know if they have anything like that around here, but doesn't hurt to ask.
  8. I have an SWC Xtreme 120 Cone skimmer and absolutely love it. It has a very small footprint, pulls lots of skimmate, is easy to adjust, and (the biggest point for me) it totally disassembles for cleaning. It is running on my 20 gallon that is well stocked and fits in my tiny sump.
  9. Beautiful fish. I was looking through DD and came across this specimen... http://www.liveaquaria.com/diversden/ItemDisplay.cfm?c=2733+3&ddid=153624 It is listed as being collected via submarine at more than 300 ft. deep. After listening to Bob's talk last month, I'm hoping the collectors got more than $2 per fish.
  10. If you find it's a mantis, and do not want it, let me know. I will be happy to take him off your hands
  11. That is awesomely massive!! What type of lighting is that under?
  12. It probably means "injection molded" as in liquid plastic is forced into a mold (or mould) in the shape of the desired object, and then released after it hardens. That's how a lot of plastic things are made. You will just want to clean it thoroughly to remove any release agents. I highly doubt that they inject mold spores into the plastic.
  13. Thanks for this topic and the links. I use the Apex app and it works great, but I guess I will have to back it up now if it's no longer available.
