  1. Question, Do you have any awesome looking ricordeas in stock or plan to order any in the future? I saw in the past you have done the group buys, wasn't sure if that was something you'd consider again :D
  2. Yep, definitely a stomatella. Majorly good part of your clean up crew, although my cleaner shrimp have discovered they are a tasty snack from time to time lol.
  3. Ooh very nice setup! Is this going to be your zoa garden you were talking about?
  4. That is exactly the breakdown I was looking for, thank you kindly sir
  5. Hey guys. So I had some questions in regards to some details with the upcoming FragFest. I'm sure they are trivial but this will be the first meeting I'll be attending so I want to make sure it's all good . 1. Are we allowed to bring camera gear to take pictures of all the setups and frags? If yes, is there any photography limitations? 2. Is there any stipulation or limitations of frags received? Are we allowed to trade with other members or is it an "everyone gets X" deal? 3. Will there be other frags for sale besides the allotted/designated free ones? Will other livestock be for sale? 4. Will the vendors that will be selling merchandise have other items besides just frags? 5. What all does the raffle/door prize entail? 6. What is the average length of the meetings? 7. Do I need to bring a chair or a bucket to sit on? 8. Do I need to bring baggies to transport coral/livestock or are they provided? Sorry to blast y'all with a ton of questions, just very excited to participate.
  6. He totally should. I'm fully planning on stocking my 125g with as many of his LPS as I can get my hands on
  7. D'oh, I knew we were forgetting something when taking those... It is a Canon Rebel T3i on full manual. Can't remember my aperture/shutter/ISO speeds off the top of my head but I can later this evening. The lens is a Tamron f2.8 90mm macro lens in manual mode. Had to manually set the white balance with a piece of printer paper taped to his tank under his radions to get things to look proper.
  8. So I was given a whole home UV sterilizer by a friend and was curious if this thing could be used for my 125g tank. I don't see any major differences in materials between this one and any of the commercial aquarium setups. Could I get your opinion and thoughts? Model I was given: http://www.caitechnologies.com/shopping/ShowItem.asp?ItemID=ATS-DWS-7
  9. Russ usually gets back to you pretty fast. Support there is phenomenal.
  10. I use Reeftronics http://reeftronics.net and love it. You have to request a membership (it is free) but it provides some nice charts for over time data.
  11. I asked Frank for help and he will be coming over Saturday to help aquascape the tank... Will definitely post pictures when it is done
  12. +1 to both of those guys, they have saved me so much money here lately.
  13. If you need help with programming, I could probably assist you
  14. Ooh that looks like it isn't too terrible to do. Thank you for the link. Ha, I just sent you a PM as I realized you were the guy that did Eric's (pizzaguy) tank that I got to see in person last week. I have to say, that tank looks absolutely amazing.
  15. Been a long time lurker, but finally decided to take the post plunge. This past weekend I had a seal fail in the bottom on my 90 gallon tank, so I took it as a sign to upgrade to a 125. I currently have all of my livestock/coral being housed by a friend so I can get all of my plumbing and stand finished up this week. I will be using a 40g breeder as my new sump, just need to get the glass or acrylic cut (know of anyone around here that can be of help?). I've got a slew of questions, so bear with me . Aquascaping: What layout/design would be best for a 72 1/2 x 18 1/2 x 23 3/8 tank? I am running an MP40w ES and an MP 10w ES for flow. Is there anyone here on WAMAS that is an aquascaping guru near Bunker Hill, WV I could pick the brain of? I am also considering ordering some pukani rock from BulkReefSupply as it looks the most porous around. What are your thoughts? Bare bottom: I have done sand on my last few tanks, but want something different this time. Has anyone used tile or other material to cover the bottom of their bare tank to give it a textured look and to protect the glass? Reactor and/or return pump: I am looking to power my reactors with 1 pump and split the flow with valves. What would be a recommended pump to either do only my 3 reactors, or to do the 3 reactors as well as the return to the display? I was looking into the mag drives, but was unsure of the recommended flow rates. Livestock: Since this is essentially a brand new start, I am looking to do something unique with this tank. Any suggestions of a specific coral/fish to keep? (I am a Zoa/LPS fan) Any other assistance is much appreciated
