1. Some do I think 2. Sporadically. We caught one once and at first it was fine in a tank with other snail, then it ate them so it got put in the tank with the stone crab 3. Not sure, but assume not often as I think they're bottom dwellers

Crabs must really like this rock...Found another crab in it, this one is whiteish green with spots. Any ideas what this one is?

Welcome to WAMAS! As for the diatoms, you could just siphon them up while doing water changes, that's what I do.

He's getting a little better today, there's a six-lined wrasse in there too. He doesn't seem to be bugging the blenny, but should I be aware of any possible problems? There are a few pieces of PVC pipe and a flowerpot in there.

So we got this blenny from marine scene. The guy said he was a midas blenny, but now that we look at him we're not sure if he is. Is he a midas blenny who's just stressed or sick, or is he just something else?

Welcome to the club! In general though, larger systems are more stable so having that big of a tank isn't bad.

Oops...I found a little white crab with black spots the other day...if I can manage to catch him feel free to take him.

I think it was either air or algae, because after we cleaned it out everything was working fine again. We have a mag 5 and only one clear U-tube so I would think we would be able to see the air, but it may have been since there was so much algae the tube was basically opaque.

Everything seems fine for now, thanks for the help. As it turns out, I think there was something with the U-Tube because when I reprimed it everything seemed ok. Just in case though, where would one get a ball valve for a pump. Yeah, if things go badly again we may end up checking the main pipe that goes into the sump for snails.
