  1. I haven't let it get that high, the water level does get higher than normal if I stop though. We've had both the return pump and the overflow suction since we've had the tank (October) and there hasn't been an issue until today... There still water coming out of both the tubes, how would I check that without taking the pumps apart, or would I have to do that?
  2. Here I am bailing water from the tank into the sump because the water level in the tank is too high, but the water level in the sump is too low. Is the overflow not working hard enough, the return pump working too hard, or something else entirely?
  3. When your friends and teachers tell you to shut up because you're talking about that new fish you got.
  4. I would, but the little buggers hiding under a piece of PVC pipe... Hm, into the refugium he goes then.
  5. Ok, so he's in the quarantine tank and he's about an inch in length. It's not really a problem with him in there now, but would he be a danger to any fish that go in there? I don't think so...more likely to eat the copepods.
  6. Do you remember where you bought it from? I might decide to hunt it down in the store to figure out what it is. Once they get big enough...and once i figure out how to frag things...
  7. Relatively, the stronger of the two powerheads is blowing towards it. I was thinking the stringy type might just be nemastoma, except with maybe a mutation?
  8. I'm nervous about him crawling out. How do you think the refugium would work?
  9. The 1st type is in the upper middle, the 2nd type is probably on the rock closest to the top. And it isn't that pale, it was the camera.
  10. Yeah I tried putting it in my refugium...I think it's just providing nutrients for the chaeto... As for the update here it is, there are actually two types though so it's somewhat confusing Type 1: Type 2:
  11. +1 Whoever has the mantis shrimp, or anything else that would enjoy this little guy, can have him for free. No one in my tank would eat him and I'd like to be rid of him without explicitly killing him.
  12. Quite angry about that. I'm getting stir crazy
  13. Yeah, I tried stunting their growth, one just killed a margarita snail and took its shell.
  14. He's fuzzy, guess it didn't really come out in the picture. I don't want to kill him but I'm iffy on keeping something that will eventually eat coral and possibly fish.
  15. Well, it took 30 minutes and 2 gallons of RO water, but we finally got him out of the rock. He's definitely rattled, but hes alive and walking around. I'm not sure if he'll make it through the night, he's in a 2 gallon bucket right now, might put him in the quarantine tank.
  16. I'm not really sure which rock he's in because his molt was near a completely different rock. I may just have to try going hunting...
  17. Thanks for the ideas guys, I haven't seen him today but I saw his molt. I'm not so sure which rock he's in at this point so I think I'll hold off on changing my aquascaping. I saw a lot of white spore-like looking things on the underside of the same type of rock. I'll try to get a good picture. Please don't tell me those are crabs eggs.
  18. So on top of the snow, I found this little guy creeping around in the rocks Says here it's a red eyed reef crab: http://www.wildsingapore.com/wildfacts/cru...iidae/ferox.htm Says here they're not reef safe and that I should remove him: http://www.wetwebmedia.com/swcrabidfaqs.htm So, how is one to go around catching a crab who's smaller than a neon goby?
