I am using a Canon XTI with a 24-70mm Macro lense but after reading that thread on photography at nano-reef i have a an idea of what i must do. thanks so much for posting that, that is really helpfull. my next lense will the canon 100 or 105 macro, but they are pricey and wil have to save for a while.

Sharkey are you using a tripod? comes in handy on long exposures. thanks for posting that, i too want to take close up shots of my corals but keep having to back up and even after cropping they dont look that good. I do use a tripod.

miss this somehow, anyways that is a nice one for sure. i got one similar to it from dr mac and it looked stressed for a bit, its starting to come back, unfortunately i dont have anything to dip it in but its doing fine so far. good pick up Bob.

Thanks Niki, i am now trying to sell some of my precius babies to clear it out a bit. audible, beleive or not it has slowed down a lot but still a lot of views for sure, it would definitely be good on a for sale thread.

lol thanks zoozilla, i realli liked the design of those containers and figured instead of buying something like them why not use them. that bracket came with the tank, actually 4 of them did, its made for the glass top but i never used it and was thinking what would be a good way to place the tubes coming from the doser and well those brackets popped into my head and just drilled two holes and fit perfect. They drip into the return pump so they are mixed really fast with the system.

the store does look a lot better now that is down stairs though, when it was upstairs it was very clottered.

if i forget to rinse it then just let it dry and wipe of the excess crusty salt but for the most part they are rinsed after each use.

you could do like drmac does and have it shipped to a ups facility for you to pick up in the AM, would probably be cheaper. I have not had a bad experience with any shipping company so far but i have read plenty of storys so choose wisely and preferably a faster method.
