I have ran 2 quiet one pumps before (4000HH and 3000) They both performed very well. They didn't put out a lot of heat and lived up to their brand name. I have also ran Rio pumps before and never will again. Not sure about those specific models, but previous pumps have crapped out on me within months of purchase. FWIW I say go with the quiet one.

+1 I had a 54 corner that I installed a 250w hqi and dual t5 actinics. With a good 14000k bulb, it's a nice color and plenty of light.

You must have been right in front of me. I went in there to get some of the rock, but she told me it was gone. Was the place in Ranson called Carter Aquarium? I couldn't remember the name.

I've been looking for the same thing. If you find any let me know. I live in Charles Town and the closest store to us is Mr. Coral and Rick's Fish/Pet Supply in Frederick. There used to be two stores in/around Charles Town, but they both went out of business. I'm not sure the market for aquaria is very strong around here.

If you are really thinking of getting rid of it, I would pm sonny or give him a call at the store. He's usually pretty good at making sure the customer is happy.

My clownfish had a similar spot on his side. Had a pair, but the disease killed one of them. I treated the other in QT with a product called Rally and he's been with me for about 2 years now. It's made by Ruby Reef. Don't know if your mandarin has the same thing, but it worked for the clown.

Upgrading the lighting on my 100g from PCs to T5's. I've got the icecap ballasts, now it's down to bulb choices. The tank is 60" long and I'll be running 6 bulbs. Does anyone have recommendations on manufacturers and colors for 6 bulbs? Or is it as easy as 3 10k's and 3 420 actinics? Any recommendations or experiences are appreciated.
