  9. The tanks look great. How is everything going with them? I had a chance to talk to you all at the frag swap this year. Those are some really nice setups. I just had a few questions. Are you now done adding tanks or will there be more in the future? And the one question that I am sure everyone wants to know is... All together how much did It cost? Or have you never added it up because you don't want to know Did you take any pics of the tank tour party? Well keep me updated I look forward to seeing the tanks as they age.
  10. So Jason are you going to replace the Lion Fish or are you going another direction now?
  11. The Brown Algae is common. It's a Micro algae that almost everyone gets on their glass. I Get it on my Live rock whenever I start a system out. I just use a Brand new inexpensive soft tooth brush to clean it off until the tank cycles. Then just get a mag float to clean it off the glass. Also don't spend the outrageous prices that LFS are asking for Live Rock, Just Let me know when you are ready for it and I can get you some nice rock for about $3 a pound.

    What is it?

From the album: 40 Gallon Breeder Reef.

What is it? I found it on my glass when I was cleaning. It looks like a grub.
  20. I would think that adding pure oxygen to your system would get your parameters all out of wack. Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't just opening a window change PH from just bringing in fresh air. And like Jason said what about the BOOM factor.

  22. I chatted with Sonny and things are all fine. I never doubted that he was a nice guy. He addressed my concerns and is a stand up business owner. Not to mention He does have an awesome selection of corals. I am sure that the next experience I have there will be a good one.
  23. Thank You, I am glad that you like the stand. Thats what makes it all worth it, Someone saying that it looks great. And also the cost savings. It turned out very well and it is 100% made by hand by myself. Behind the the finished wood is a 2x3 frame that I came up with. it can withstand alot of weight. The front opening of the stand is 20" and framed with 2x3 on each side. The 2x3 is upright so it makes it even stronger. I am going to make a setup to test just how much that area can hold but from my calculations so far it far exceeds any aquarium that I can imagine. And the thing is that it does not weight as much as you would think and it cost alot less to build than buying a stand already made and will hold a lot of weight with no concerns. I would like to sell one at cost to build to one of our vendors sometime and see how it goes. I have put the bottom floor in and have placed the top one in and also have ran the electric. I will post updated pics soon.
  24. I really do feel that bashing someone for their faults is a bad thing. And have been very hesitant to ever post anything negative towards them. But when the post came up I figured it was time to say something and maybe it would change things for the better. Believe me I would like for things to be great always but thats not reality. As far as my opinion. Things can change. And thats all it is just an opinion. Now that mine is out I'm sure I will talk with Sonny and maybe things will be Better. For the both of us.
  25. This is a vendor that I really wanted to like. Because It is so close to me. He is located less than 5 minutes from my house. But with my experiences that I have had there, I still drive 45 minutes one way to get my corals.
