  1. Sorry for the late reply @howaboutme These will support just about any kind of battery that you would like to connect to them. I am currently using SLA batteries and plan to upgrade to LIFEPO4 soon. The connection is our standard DC 5.5mm x 2.1mm.
  2. Well it seems that final design has come together for my ReefBoxx project and I must say that it has come along well. I will be taking orders soon so keep your eyes posted around here to find out when that will be. As always I will be offering it here at WAMAS first before I send it out for public orders. Not sure what the heck a REEFBOXX is? Well let me tell ya a little about it. Well its a BOX . Well it actually is a box but its not just a box. Its a box that transfers from regular power to backup battery power when the normal power goes out. Already done you say? Well actually not so. The REEFBOXX is a transfer switch that will transfer any DC powered pump to back up battery power. 12 or 24 volts does not matter it will do either. And the best part is that you choose what size batteries to connect it to. So if you need 8 hours of backup or 80 hours of backup you can configure whichever you like. Its all up to the user. This will be launching soon and you can check out the website for more updates as they happen. REEFBOXX.com Although as of now I do not have a specific price I will say that It will be priced very affordably, under $100 for sure. You purchase your own batteries and there will be instructions on putting it all together as well you can call or video me and I will personally help you through the process. I have been running one on my reef system for about 2 years now and have never worried about a power loss. Not even an issue for me anymore. I have a stand alone style where I have a charger connected to my batteries so it is always at 100% charge state to take over when the power goes out. I have ran my frag system for over 12 hours with the simple setup that I have setup. It does not drop your speeds on your pumps either they will run at the speed you have set for them the entire time. How long you want them to run is totally up to you. I went with a stand alone for testing and could run them many hours till I get home and can connect a generator. If you dont have room for a generator you can upsize your batteries and run for days on battery power. The possibles are endless. You can also branch off and run multiple pumps off the same batteries. I am very excited about this new way of backing up our reef tanks and cant wait to share it with all out you. Please feel free to ask any questions here that you may have. I look forward to the future of the REEFBOXX and sharing it with all of you. Patent Pending. Todd Haynes Puddle Aquatics
  3. Thank you all! All donations will help him set back up and running. Once he is settled and we get him the funds he will be posting a reef build here in the forums.
  4. Hello everyone, I wanted to get the word out that my Friends house caught on fire last week and along with the house as you can imagine his reef tank is destroyed to say the least. I cant imagine going through that and it has to be very emotional. I wanted to get the word out that I started a go fund me in order to get him a new system and was not exactly sure where to place it and think I am able to post it in the forum as it is helping a fellow reefer that has lost everything so I figured here would be as good as any. (Admins If there is a better place please move) If you can help great if you can spread the word that would also be great. Thank you. https://gofund.me/e41965d2
  5. Sorry for the delay. I will be posting more often in the future. We currently have two tangs in stock (Purple and a Powder Brown) that are now 100% quarantined and ready for a new home. We started out slow as to just take our time and to not get in too many fish just in case we ran into issues. Also this week we got in a shipment of Green Tipped Torch coral frags and some nice yellow Hammer frags. Also in the mix were some wall hammers, Zoas, favia, lords, and a few others. Next week we will be getting in another order as well. Updated pictures will be coming soon to the website. We will be also having a giveaway in the near future. More details on that to come. Happy Reefing! Todd

  7. Thank you Matt. We are currently located in Knoxville MD
  8. Yes as long as the requested is available we will be happy to order get in and qt any requests.
  9. Yes @arking_markwe will be selling properly quarantined fish in the near future.
  10. Looking at following the latest and greatest plan that Tidal gardens outlined. Once I get it all worked out I plan to post it on the website so everyone knows what we are doing.
  11. We got the 1st quarantine system started. I need to get them wet and running but its good to see the first fish QT system finally standing.
  12. Thank you! I am very happy to be back with the WAMAS Reefing Family.
  13. On the left side I installed my UV, Skimmer, Carbon, and in the center of the sump is my Zeolite reactor.
  14. On the right side of the stand I installed my Apex and the exhaust fan. I also used the 24 volt power that I installed to run an actual thermostat that turns on and off the exhaust fan as the temperature rises in the stand. I also put my Davy Jones Locker on this side and installed an Apex ALD in this area.
  15. The doors on the stand I built are held in by magnets and have sensors that are connected to my break out box so that anytime I remove a door the sump light automatically turns on so I have light to do what i need to do and when I replace the door the light automatically turns off.
  16. Beside that I built the bench where you can sit and just enjoy the beauty of the system. The front panel I made removable and under the bench you will find I keep all my supplies, spare pumps and other supplies.
  17. My dosing containers are located in that cabinet area as well and my GHL doser sits above.
  18. I installed a 3/4" pipe with a tee that runs into my ATO water container that is a 5 gallon bucket at the moment but will be a 30 gallon container once it arrives. (I just ordered it last week). At the end I had to figure out a way to keep the barb fitting out of the way so I could slide the cover onto the top of the cabinet so I installed a Union. When I need to change water I simply loosen the union and turn the barb fitting upwards with the hose and start a siphon then I siphon the water right down the washing machine drain. Then I turn some valves and pump fresh saltwater into the tank. Then I loosen the union and turn the barb fitting down and tighten it back up. No more having to carry buckets. Its all hooked to my Apex so water changes are a breeze now.
  19. Exhaust leaves from the stand and enters here also. It also keeps air moving in the area to cool the Radion drivers, battery backups, UPS's, and such and then gets exhausted to where the water storage is under my steps.
  20. Battery backups, Radion drivers, UPS's that Batters backups are plugged into. I also have a 24 volt feed I use for my exhaust fan here. I will be using it for solenoid valves also in the future.
  21. Inside I have a bunch of things that keep the system going.
  22. Slide cover that I built to access equipment, and water changer.
