I’m no photographer but I picked up a Canon EOS T8i and Canon EF 100mm F/2.8L Macro. Would love to learn. Shot in Av mode with F/2.8 for the first image, F/32 for the rest. Used a tripod, custom white balance, and adjusted to add a little more blue in Lightroom to reflect colors closer to what I actually see in the tank. Any feedback is appreciated.

I'm pumped!! Got a BRK gift certificate for Christmas! Let me know if you're getting any shipments next week. It's already burning a hole in my pocket!!

1 Phosphate and 25 reagants please.

Yeah, there were some awesome acros there. It took me awhile to decide what to buy!

I would have bought the gold one too if it were there. Nice snag! If you want to trade frags once they get settled in, let me know.

From BRK in the same shipment. I'm going to have to take a break from staring at it to go out and shovel

You can definitely get away with a smaller quarantine depending on the size of the fish. I use a 20L.

When I drip acclimate from 1.015 to 1.026, I go pretty slow. It usually takes me about 3 hours. This is just me though, not sure how long others would drip a fish for given that set of conditions. Are the fish lasting for a few days or a few weeks before they die? What kind of container do you place the fish in when you acclimate? Is the container used for anything else? I check BRK first when I'm looking for a fish. The health of their livestock is top notch.

Nice... I would like to see a pic once it's fully colored up. I know they're just frags right now, but if you ever have any available, keep me in mind.

I was hoping you were going to say the rainbow. That coral has been on my list for awhile. Is it as colorful as the image on their website?

Which frags did you order?

Anyone used the color changing DI resin
Sea Monkey replied to CHUBAKAH's topic in General Discussion
I contacted Ryan at Bulk Reef Supply. He's convinced the membrane isn't seating right. My DI canisters have always run out that quickly so I never had a point of reference to how quickly it should be running out. I'm glad Chubakah started this thread. Sorry for the hijack! Thanks to everyone for bringing that to my attention. I will be testing my post RO water a lot more in the future. Pat_13, where in WV do you live? Half of my family is in Ranson, Charles Town, and Kearneysville. If I can ever help you with anything or would like to combine shipping on any future orders, shoot me a pm. -
Anyone used the color changing DI resin
Sea Monkey replied to CHUBAKAH's topic in General Discussion
It's a seachem pinnacle ro unit that includes 1 sediment and 1 carbon filter. I added two of the bulk reef supply di canisters after the RO membrane. Tap is 287 tds and post RO is 86 tds. Looks like I need to change my membrane. I replaced the membrane about 4 months ago with a filmtec membrane that bulk reef supply sells and was reading 8 tds post ro membrane. I'm 100% confident that it's plumbed correctly. The weird thing is, even when the unit was producing 8 tds, I was still only getting about 120/150 gallons through the di resin before I had to change it. It blows my mind that you guys/gals are getting so much production from them. I emailed bulk reef supply last night to ask them how long the filmtec membrane should last and how many gallons on average I should be getting out of my di canisters. -

Wow, I'm going to take a closer look at my RO system. Thanks for the heads up, you possibly just saved me some $$. -

It works for me. I use it in two of their add on DI Canisters. I have a tds meter so I tested how long I could get away with using the resin after the color has changed. I read on other boards that you can get away with using it after the color has changed for awhile. For me, immediately after the color changed, the tds of the output started to creep upward. Just for your reference, I get about 120 gallons of water out of each canister. -
I did the same. Punch that code into the search box on their homepage. When you get to the reefcrystals page, when you put in your quantity, it will come up with a price per item of $46.99. Click into that text box and change the price to 31.99 and proceed with your order. I tried to enter 1.00 into the box but the lowest it will accept is 31.99.
