  1. Sorry I moved the pic in my photobucket. All fixed.
  2. The little piece of the reef is back! I got out a couple years ago to focus on school. Now that its almost all done, time to focus on a hobby that I have been missing dearly. Equipment Nuvo SR-80 Tunze 9011 skimmer 2-AI Vega MiniMax Reactor Neptune Apex Hydrofill Misc 120 pounds of rock 30 pounds of sand Live stock TBD ....First Day.... 3/17/2014
  3. Thank you, they are Aqua Illumination Vega color. I highly recommend them. They are very easy to setup and controllable through the web-base or mobile devices. Initially I tried mounting the lights the other way, but the stand layout would not allow it. I have one more Vega left and may mount it in the middle to remove the dead spot. Although, I kinda like the dead spot. It gives it a nice shadow effect.
  4. Thanks guy. The tank is coming along great, but I am not 100% convinced on the aquascape yet. It still looks "funny" to me.
  5. This hobby amazes me. It forces you out of your comfort zone, and makes you try things you never thought you could do. I for one, am not a handy person at all. Any little thing that goes wrong at the house, I would be quick to call someone to come fix it. Yesterday I received my lighting rails and mounting kit. At first glance I was already intimidated. Even more so after reading the instructions and watching the videos. But I thought what the heck, I got the Apex running, why not give this thing a whirl. So I made my supply list and brave a trip out to Home Depot. After endless minutes staring at the nails/screws section, I found everything I needed. I came home and started drilling the necessary 4 out of 8 holes, then the power tool died :/ Woke up the next day, drilled some more and screwed in the pieces. Voilà, the tank has lights! Small accomplishments that make you smile. Cheers, Niki
  6. I have a 22 gallon, 12 gallon rubbermaid and spare 210 tank. I am out in Ashburn if you want to venture out this way.
  7. Oh geez. Thanks for all the info everyone. I was able to get everything up and running now. Is it possible to program it so that the skimmer comes on from 10PM - 10AM? I tried the following code and it didn't seem to work. Fallback off Set off If Time 22:00 to 23:59 Then ON If Time 1:00 to 11:00 Then ON
  8. One last question, what about the names of the outlet that ends in cntl_M3? Are these a specific port that stays on constantly?
  9. I see now. Mine starts with EB8_3, so if I want to program top left first plug as my return pump I should select 3_1.
  10. Through the web browser not sure if its Fusion but definitely not from the display.
  11. I am having troubles with configuring the outlet on the EB8. I have plug everything into the top row with the four plugs. The first one on the far left is the return pump, skimmer, media reactor and heater. How do I name the outlets and assign the outlet port for the apex to understand?
  12. Ceriths pic looks like rush hour on RT66. Very nice.
  13. I had the same problem as well with Davinci clownfish as well in a 10 gallon tank. Tagging along....
  14. My nano tank was towards the end of the cycling process and I had some diatoms as well. I turned off the lights for a couple of days and the diatoms disappeared. You can give that a try.
  15. I've been battling with HD for the past week looking for parts. I wish there was a plumbing specific store.
  16. I think I have all the people necessary. Thanks again Wamas!
  17. Saw the tank last weekend and it is stunning. Khanh's other tanks are equally as great and the fishy/corals are thriving. The clowns were even laying eggs while I was there! Thanks again Khanh for taking the time to brainstorm the new tank with me. Niki
  18. Very cute looks like he would be a great backup as a saltwater mixer :D
