Yes I am harvesting haven't really changed anything just used to have more growth then I do now.

The reason I'm asking is it seem my algae growth in the refugium hes slowed way down and I was thinking its light related.

I have used a old light from my freshwater days for along time now and think its time for replacement. My Refugium is a 20 gallon long tank any suggestions on replacement fixture or bulbs for the Refugium? Thanks Jim

have about 340 gallons of water in my system spa heater sounds interesting. Have been using a Finnex 500watt but it just took a dive don't think it was even six months old

Well I got a email today on my phone at about 4:AM that Temp was below 76 degrees went down to check it out temp at 74.2 and heater alarm going off another element bites the dust.I have a 500 watt finnex controlled with a controller which is also controlled by the apex seems to work but cant seem to keep a heater long anymore. What are you using and for how long?My heater controller is still working just the element is bad. Thanks Jim

You still may have a bulb out I have had them bad from the start.Check to see if all of them flash.Also check for a darker edge on the ends of the bulbs.If you have a way check one bulb at a time. Or if you have a 4th bulb use that one to switch out with the others to determine if ones bad.

I have 3 beside mine they are slowly losing the battle.

I've run mine 24/7 also with no harm to my Mandarin. Currently not using due to malfunction of the U/V light.

I love the look of my GSP in the center and usually put rocks around the edges and remove them as they grow. But I have neglected it for awhile and it has grown on some rocks that are going to be pretty hard to move so looking for ideas on my next attack. This picture was put together

To prime mine at first I had to back fill some water down the output line .Then when I felt it was enough it started up perfectly !

I love the look of the GSP just going to have to isolate it.

I'm currently trimming back my GSP and think I'm going to put my large frogspawn corals on either side do you think it will keep the gsp at bay or do you think it will eventual take over them also. Thanks Jim

The yellow tang and hippo tang are pretty territorial at least they seem to be so adding fish would be a problem.
