  1. I am planning to build a stand for a 60"Lx30"Wx25"H in-wall glass tank. I have found a few good threads on stand construction, including the monster under Dave's 300 gallon beauty, but none addressing the structural soundness and maximum span allowed for vertical posts supporting the stand. I want to fit a 75 gallon AGA tank (48
  2. Thanks James and Bob. I hope Dave and others will chime in with additional clarification. I do have a RODI unit which is not yet hooked up and just purchased a GSA Standard Eight skimmer. The plan is to start cycling rock in a separate tank until display is ready. Trevor
  3. Thanks All. I will start a new tank thread soon.
  4. I am finally ready to purchase and set up my tank and I

This has to be a first.
  8. From where did you purchase this nice tank?
  9. You've had a few recent casualities at home and at school. I'm sorry about your loss and hope this tank recovers soon. Do you have a UV sterlizer on this tank, and if so, is it not a gaurantee at warding off ich. Trevor
  10. So sorry to hear that, Dave :( . How do you prevent something like this from happening again with a CL?
  11. That's a great idea - now I know what to do with mine. One of the many bad purchases I made before joining WAMAS.
  12. I broke two of the plastic RODI wrenches trying to replace filters. I plan to purchase an oil filter wrench as a replacement. You can probably pick one up at any automotive store or online. http://www.tooltopia.com/index.asp?PageAct...amp;ProdID=7256
  13. Glad to hear you avoided a potential disaster, and thanks for sharing the information.
  14. Looking good Dave. Interesting that without baffles in the sumps you do not have any issues with micro bubbles. Is it possible to accomplish this with one sump or is the trick just loading the sump with a ton of live rocks?
  15. Great progress and all is looking great. Will you be needing a chiller for all those T5s? Trevor
  16. Is BRK even open on Tuesday? I was there today and was told they would be closed until Friday.

  21. Take your time. I too was overwhelmed a few months ago, and made ill-advised purchases because of haste. After frequently reading the boards here and on RC, I have made great strides in my understanding of the hobby. Patience will do wonders for you, and so will buying the WAMAS membership. Good luck!
  22. Thanks for the explanation Dan. I see it now - the early morning coffee must have been spiked.
  23. Dan, I am either confused or missed a point but if you pulled the connector pins from the outlet for seperate power source, hence 2 independent outlets, should'nt there be 2 power cords from each box? Thanks.
