  1. I am not too far from the Home Depot and should be able to give you a hand after church.
  2. These pictures really highlight the quality workmanship in the stand. Very nice job indeed. Is there a DIY book you can recommend for someone willing to tackle a similar project?
  3. Great job Matt, and thanks for sharing some great plumbing tips.
  4. Thanks for the information. Glasscapes tanks are reasonably priced.
  5. Great looking set up so far. I am interested in seeing the progression of your tank. I have a question regarding your sump. Is the 5'longx24''widex24''high a standard size for an AGA aquarium, and, if so, how many gallons does it hold? I have a space in my basement that could accommodate such a tank and was wondering where you bought it. Thanks
  6. I am new to the hobby and this may be a silly question; but based on this drawing does the overflow water in your refugium get to the return pump before it's skimmed by the protein skimmer? Sure that I'm just missing a step. Thanks.
  7. Hey David, I am near South Riding, which is not too far, and could give you a hand. However, I am only available after work or on Saturdays. Trevor
  8. Beautiful tank indeed. This does not appear to be a RR tank. Do you mind describing your set up, including the sump, size and location of bulkheads and returns, etc? Just curious, since I'm about to set up my first tank, which is not RR and has limited space for sump. Thanks, T
  9. Dave, Sorry to hear about your accidents. I'm not too far from you, so do not hesitate to shoot me a PM if you need help lifting or moving anything. Trevor
  10. Thanks Jason and Jager. The tank is not reef ready, so I plan to drill one of the short sides. I'll let you know how it turns out.
  11. I'm debating drilling my 90 gal tank for a 1.5" bulk head and plan to use PVC down to the 20 gal acrylic sump, which currently has a 1" PVC connection. I have a few questions: 1. I've purchased the diamond bit and did some DIY reading on drilling glass, but are there any particular Dos and Don'ts to keep in mind? 2. Will the single 1.5'' bulk head be sufficient for good water flow from tank? 3. Should I also drill the sump to accommodate 1.5" plumbing? I appreciate all thoughts and suggestions. Trevor
