  1. Didn't you already have a couple of these guys in your tank couple months ago? Tee
  2. I have my 125 gal, 72" on the second floor. I have it against the wall, with no additional support structure below. So far so good, with no problem It's always a good idea to have additional support below though. Including rock, sump, equipments, you are looking at around 1500 lbs concentrate to a 48x24x24 foot print. With an unfinished basement, I would assume this house is not more than 10 years old. The bigger = the better. Add some additional support if you can for the peace of mind Tee --------------------------------------------------------------------------
  3. It is not colt coral or carnation. I have it for about a month now. Tee -------------------------------------------------------------------------

  8. Hi all, My tank is pass it's one year birthday. I have a lot of coralline now. Unfortunately, most of it grow on my glass, and overflow, WTH? The rock still not have as much coraline as I wanted. I used a credit card to scrap it off, but it's so hard to get it out of my glass. What do you guy use to clean the coralline off your glass tank. I am afraid to use something that will scratch my glass. Man, with the saltwater tank, stuff that I want to grow, don't grow. Stuff like bad Anemone, and red slime algae grow like weed. I don't want to use the power for my saltwater, eventhough they say it save. Tee -------------------------------------------------------------------------
  13. I think he meant 20$ for Wamas membership fee. I also think that it is the smartest 20$ I spent in this hobby. I am sure you can get some freebie coral from Wamas member. I just started too, and I got a bunch of freebie coral, and some that I paid about 5, or 10$ while I would have to pay about 50+ at a LFS. If you pay 20$ to join Wamas member, you can see the "For Sale" section. There are a bunch of freebie coral here and now. Tee ----------------------
  14. I guess he is mean because he was in a 55 with the other two Devil. He should be fine in my 125. I only have one oscar and two small cichlid. We'll see if you he is mean enough for my oscar. 18. Hi, I just wondering how do people who have a 72" long tank light their aquarium using T5. Do you use 36" or 48" lamp? How many row? And can you put retrofit T5 in the Canope. Anybody around Springfield, and Burke have a 72" gal tank, and use retrofit T5, I would love to stop by a check it out. Thank you very much in advance. Tee
  19. The skimmer produce the swirling or tonado effect in the center tube. The trouble shoot pdf suggest to check the plastic baffle that breaks the cyclonic action of the micing chamber. It might fallen out the center tube. What is the plastic baffle look like? Is that the same as the "Air Retuner Skirt"? Also, Do you have the "Venturi cone" between your 1/2" hose barb and the flextube hose? I open up my pump, and I don't see the Venturi Key, and Venturi Cone. Am I suppose to have one? This is a used skimmer, so I don't know if it should have one or not. THanks a lot for all the help, Tee --------------------------------------------------------------------

  22. Hi all, I have been trying to play around with this skimmer for two months now, and have no success with it. The Skimmer is stand outside of my sump. The pump is in my sump, with the water outflow return to my sump. At first when I first installed it, it produce foam, and I can adjust the air and pump to control the foam level. Now the foam wouldn't go up the collection cup anymore. I open clean the pump, and skimmer, but still have no luck. Anybody use this skimmer that can help me correct it? Thanks a lot in advance, Tee PS: The skimmer is a used skimmer. My house close to the intersection of Burke Lake and Braddock.
  23. Mine didn't open until a day later. How long did you aclimate your Feather Duster? I did a drip aclimate for 45min, and it is fine a couple days later. Tee -----------------------------------
  24. Humm, I am a little confuse here. You mean the put a whole fixture with multiple lamps under a canope? That's not what I want to do. I want o custom made 5 or 6 rows of T5 under my 72" canope. I wonder how people retrofit their 72" long canope with T5. Anybody? How many row of T5 can you put in a 24" deep canope? Six and no more? Any other link to a DIY canope and retrofit light? http://www.reeffrontiers.com/forums/showth...ighlight=canopy Thanks Tee -------------------------------------------------------------
  25. Thanks a lot for the help. I think two lines of 36" it is then. What is the recomemdation space between each light? For a 24" deep, how many row of T5 can I use. Thanks, Tee ------------------------------------------------------------------
