  1. hey bud! im new here too, but clearly much newer than you. i should be there as well. looking forward to entire function, i.e. meeting ppl from forum, listing to the speaker, and just talking about the hobby in general. how many people show up to these things anyway? just curious
  2. a pic i found on another site. please enjoy! http://www.thereeftank.com/totm/mar05/front.jpg
  3. utilities as far as electric and water. still need to consider salt and supplements, right?
  4. considering upsizing from a 46bf to a 120 rr. id like to know how much more would the cost per month to keep the tank going? of course there would be more $$$ spent up front. my question is focused on the month to month fees. is it as easy as saying that the tank is 3 times as big, so the cost per month would be 3 times as much? im not sure that the math would be that easy. so, all of you that have done at least 1 upgrade please chime in and tell us how much it hurts the ole wallet.
  5. in the blue corner, weighing in at 5 lbs, wearing the clear, plastic bag is miracle mud! in the red corner, weighing in at whatever you have at the bottom of your tank, wearing nothing but its birthday suit, live sand! ding, ding, ding!!! i wanted to get every1's take on the two. if you were to start a refugium, whether it be hot or what have you, would you be more inclined to using the mud or you own sand? ecosystem pumps up their own product, but can you blame them? they're trying to make a sell! is it really as beneficial as they claim? on the hand, you have your own live sand, from your own system, w/ all the goodies from YOUR little ecosystem. let the argument begin.
  6. do you mind telling us what he sold you for this monster crew? dont nec. need to know what he charged ya, just what he gave you that was so effective. thanks
  7. hey everybody! im running a 46 bow w/ a 10g sump. i have a css 65 for my mechanical filtration, and about 60lbs of lr for my bio filtrtion. im considering a uv ster. in a closed loop in the sump--out of sight, out of mind. i would only run it during the on part of my light cycle. it seems that some aquarist bake, while others avoid it. id just like to get a consensus of what people think of baking those that could be troublesome and what method those people use. lates
  8. im new to the forum and not a member of wamas, yet. id like to know what you all refer to as a, "frag fest," and is it something that you dont mind me attending--not sure if this gathering is strictly for members. if there will be trading, i can bring a shroom or 2 to offer. primarily i would like the opportunity to me some of the people that post. thanks
