  1. Looks like an imtimation of maxi-jet series. Should perform just the same, has a few basic parts that MJ uses.
  2. 1st look like decorator crab, like Jager said- its' carapace is much alike decorator, maybe baby one. 2nd one, I think pea crab (not sure), they eat softies.
  3. I have one small frag (1 1/2-2") of that neon green GSP in nano- if you want it, I'll let you have it for $5. It grew pretty fast! I got it as 1" frag in late october and now, it's 6" x 6". I'll frag some of corals as they grow to reasonable size to be fragged. I'm going to prune some of montiporas this week, they grow very quickly. I think by next week, I might have 2-3 of 1 1/2" frags of purple monti with blue tips, 5-7 of 1 1/2" of tan/brown monti, and maybe 1-2 of 1 1/2" of olive green monti. You can see photo of them 3 in center picture. I'll post them in sell/trade board- If you're interested in some of them, let me know.
  4. He's a semi-muscle dude, with short dark blonde hair and glasses. He always wear black tank top shirt. He's very helpful and always made his time to talk with me. Also, seems to be better source of information at Rick's. Other workers there seems to be a few bricks shy of load...
  5. Hehehe, I hope they'll progress better than they did in old tanks under different specs- 125g has most of up to date tech (most was inspired by hardcore reefers like Dhoch, Raf, and few others) That GSP on top of old live rock is some kind of awesome color GSP I ever seen, not sure what it's called but it has frilly polyps and doesn't have white buttons at center of polyps. I'll have it isolated soon, only placed it up there to keep area clear for short time so I'll have all frags placed in their position. I have regular GSP on bottom on sand tho.
  6. Awesome idea! Hot water to quickly dissolve the encrusted salt in airway- I'll try that next time!
  7. Mine had salt built up inside the air passageway. I had to use wire to clean it out and works good afterward. I suggest cleaning pump and air passageway once every month to keep the operation running smoothly.
  8. As everyone know about me setting up new 125g tank and many have asked to see a few photo since I bought frags, equipments, etc from them. All frags were old ones transferred from 50g frag tank, 33g breeder, and 30g cube- I consolidated them all together into new tank. Let me know how my tank looks, I'll like some feedbacks Quick spec: Reefkeeper II controller system 5 x 80w T-5 on 2 icecap 660 2 x 110w VHO actinic on icecap 430 turbofloto 1000 with needlewheel sedra Mag 9.5 for return with scwd on pvc spray bars 2 x 620 seio 2 x 1200 maxijet 10g refugium with chaeta, tang heaven, and red seaweed 2 x 27g heavy duty rubbermaid containers(1 x pre-sump and 1 x refugium/sump) Aquamedic controller with won 500w heater element (aquamedic's heater element broke...) Right side Center: Left side: A bunch of frags awaiting to be placed:
  9. Rick's sucks! Especially the owner!!! I gotta post my story about incident at Rick's regarding a tank purchase... The owner is an *******!!! I stop there sometime but only if that tattoo'ed dude is there- he's cool! There's no good deal but sometime when in emergency I need some additive etc, I gotta make a stop :(

    Center

Center of my tank- I'm using a very old live rock I got in 2000 from congressional, I left it out and let sun bleach it naturally for long term storage. Full of nook and cranny, perfect for frags!

New 125G tank I set up after 50g sprung a leak.
  19. Me, I placed them on wood panel then inside of nice printer stand from staples. Only have to drill hole in back for wires- $29 for z-line black cabinet Just make sure you have enough wires to run them around if ballast cannot be placed at convenient location. I had to use about 100 ft worth of wires just to extend the wiring from hood to ballasts...
  20. I knew it! I knew you'll pull that one on me  I hope to have a nice day, it'll be very busy day for me... Gotta pick up zoas soon then sleep for about a few hours and watch baby after wife leave for work. Birthday dinner around 7pm then maybe not going back to sleep till 9pm. Wake up at 11pm for work... Maybe I'll treat myself with birthday present- sick leave from work tonight hehehe
  21. There's a bit difference between staggering and centering. Staggering actually helps with spreading lights to the end of tank while centering would have slight shadow on each end of tank. It's actually more of personal perference and would depends on what you plan to place on the end. Some people like to have centering so they can put low light/light sensitive species like mushroom and zoas in the end.
  22. I have them all over in one of my frag tank... Not even sure but they seems to colonize algaes that are growing on plugs. I guess some kind of coralline algae since they're flat disc.
  23. Naw, chromis and damsel doesn't care for clams. They're generally good reef fish but most species within that family (especially damsels) can get extremely aggressive and bully fishes, even big ones.
  24. Dang, just about time for me to break out trout gear and fish for that half black angel... Grats on catching him
