  1. Put him in jug with air hose and sit him out front of porch during the Halloween. Tell kids that it came out of your stomach, that'll freak them out BIG time.

  3. Icecap makes one of best MH single bulb ballast right now and honestly, you will not regret it. If you want more budget model then go with sunlight supply green line.
  4. Roll the reef epoxy putty into long cylinder and seal the leak if you don't want to empty the sump for silicone repair. If they're just tiny leaks which no particles are being passed through then don't worry.
  5. Holy moly! That's one big worm! I have seen some prowling around my tank at late night- they're 6" to 8" but nowhere near that big. I have read about someone catching 36" inside their output pipe. That will most certainly run up a serious case of goosebump when someone find it. I dunno about eating part, I have eaten some weird stuff at my in-laws. I would image it tastes something like sea cucumber. UGH!
  6. GSP does that sometime. I have a lot in my tank and it seems to be a phrase they goes through once every while. Move him to medium flow and see how he do in few days. What's the spec in your tank- strong light shouldn't be a problem as I have some under MH and some under T5, PC, and regular wattage fluorescent. One of issue I have heard was water alkalinity was a bit too high- some of soft corals are sensitive to change in hardness. My xenia closed up for a while when I add calcium to tank.
  7. LR selection at Dr. Mac is pretty good. He has standard live rocks that are sold at all LFS at good price, $4.99 per lbs. However, he has premium quality LR at $7.99 per lbs- this selection is THE BEST and surpass all stores on-line and LFS. I got 18 lbs premium rock other day- it's 90% covered with coralline algae, deeeeeeep purple and absolutely gorgeous!
  8. I had my skimmer off for 6 months on 2 tanks and everything did well even SPS. I'm sure you'll be fine for a week or so, just monitor your livestock condition every 6-8 hours and see if there's any impact on system.
  9. Welcome! Very nice set-up I got a lot of frags that you might would like to add to your system. I'm going to post a couple more in sale board tonight.
  10. I'm looking for a DIYer who can build a reactor for me, I have a lot of materials for making one. There's enough acrylic tubes to make dual or even triple chamber reactors. Also, I have a couple sheets of 1/4" acryclic that can be used to make discs for top and bottom covers. I don't have right machine tools for making reactor parts... Let me know soon

  14. Same here Been looking for a frag of bonsai
  15. Yes, last time I went there- I wasn't even impressed... There was a couple of dead fish laying around and selection is still left to be desired. Maybe they're still overwhelmed with the busniess and haven't gotten around to the point where they can go through inventories, orders, stablize their tanks, etc. Give them 3 more months and see how it turns out.
  16. Sea-Monkey are brine shrimp. Just drop a porous rock in your sump and they'll breed all over it- jam a couple of small cut-up fish and shrimp into cranny/nook, they'll feast on it. My 125g never had any live stuff in it for weeks except live rocks. At night time with flashlight, they're all over the place so rest assured, you'll always have decent population to support a mandarian. Now, it's fully stocked and I still see good number of pods there even with mandarian keeping it clean daily. I think you have cyclopzees- those look like pods and are huge n red.
  17. eBay has removed that link- seems to be in violation of eBay regulation.
  18. NP at all Hope thing'll work out for you.
  19. When I worked at NAIB, there was a fish in amazon display- a big dicho (pencil fish), around 8". They said never saw him for 2 years, I couldn't imagine how big of that fish went unseen for 2 years. Some fish would just hide forever...
  20. Doesn't sound like it is suppose to be doing that. Maybe your pins aren't connected properly or wire isn't fitted in right. Other issue is that ballast might be defective- outputting way too much power and cannot regulate the flow of electricity to your lights. Same as Dhoch- I could come by and take a look, too.
  21. All crabs and shrimps include pods molt I usually pull them out and save them to spook people with it, hehehe!
  22. BK_Market- your stuff is with Shawns now. Please PM me ASAP with your # so he can find you at the meeting.
  23. I am going to do that soon- been planning that. I can't find the smallest hook- I would have to look through my fishing stuff and see if I can find shad hooks. I think he'll definitely fall for that. Right now, I'm crafting a small trap that rest on bottom of tank with net on the bottom so he couldn't see the net itself..
