WOW no other takers??? Awesome steal for $25 bucks, less than I paid for it! :(

Perhaps if you could tell us what an Acan rock is...??? (sorry if I'm the only clueless one here)

I have no idea what it is...and a google search didn't help me much...

Care?

Low light?

Bright light?

Aggresive?

low flow?

Easy to grow?

And if it's something I can grow in my tank...then I'll put in a bid of $30 $35. Anxiously waiting your response.

IMHO: The pictured specimen is most likely Acanthastrea echinata, or similar enough to not make much of a difference. They can tolerate metal halides if allowed to adapt, but they certainly will be fine under VHO, T5, or a good group of PC's (I prefer 150wt DE for Large Polyp Stonies). They will grab bits or meaty foods and grow pretty well under good conditions.

Gary,

Let's go in together and split it in two upon victory?

Maybe we can get Lee to go in with us and frag it three ways.

Hmm... I'm in for a frag! :) Maybe this should be under "Group Buys" <chuckle>

SOLD to the man with the flowers!

Thanks Chip, Enjoy!

John

WE will.

I'll pay cash since I believe all your auctions should be CASH/check ONLY!

I'd like to pick it up with my wife's lavender/purple water lily if I can.

Unless someone from there is coming to the pool party and will bring it.

Please let me know.

I will have 57.75 with me in case.

Thanks John,

So I picked up the acan I won today and boy was I surprised.

It was way better than the auction pic and might have even colored up a bit more since the auction ended.

The pic doesn't show it, or the color wasn't there at first, but it has three distinct colors now.

BTW,

There is some of the nicest colored encrusted frags I've ever seen in the lookdown tank at BRK.

At least half or more are way better than mine and I think most of mine look pretty darn good.

What the heck are you guys doing out there to make them so sweet?

Can't blame these colors on Bob and his photoshop skills.

When's the next auction Johnny????

Chip - your a lucky man, i have been trying to frag that acan for a while.. :wig:

I have good Photoshop skills but they don't work very well when you are standing over that tank looking down in person.

Congrats on the new acan!
