TonyInVa February 8, 2018 February 8, 2018 Last night, I saw this thing in my tank that I haven't seen before. It looks like a slug but looks to have a small shell on part of it's back. Does anyone know what this is and if it is something I should keep or try to removed from my tank?
FirstContact February 8, 2018 February 8, 2018 Going with nudibranch or sea slug. Google it and find out what type it is.
treesprite February 9, 2018 February 9, 2018 I was trying to look k it up. There is such a thing as a "fleshy limpit" which is ruffled like that around the outside of the shell, as opposed to plain limpits. I have never seen one in person, just going by what I saw on the internet, but it looks in pictures pretty much like the first picture in the original post.
davelin315 February 9, 2018 February 9, 2018 Agree with Treesprite, some sort of limpet. Hard to tell without seeing the shell and the foot which is very clear in the picture. Next time give it a tap and see what the shell looks like when it pulls its foot back under.

I thought for sure a nudi as well, but looking up fleshy limpit, I see they also have antennas, or some of them, neat!
malacoda February 9, 2018 February 9, 2018 (edited) Not a polyclad flatworm. I've picked a couple of polyclads out of my tank; they're much flatter, more mottled, and don't have anything resembling antennae. Edited February 9, 2018 by malacoda
