WishNewFish August 6, 2017 August 6, 2017 Hi, I got arctic revive T247 (older model) from another reefer which does't have the stand provision, it only comes with the hanging kit. The length of the hanging wires doesn't seem to be long enough to hang from my ceiling, I know a lot of reefers use these lights, how do you hang these lights? Any tips/tricks or specific steps/tools you use?
smh254 August 7, 2017 August 7, 2017 You could use a cantilever like this. I use it because I have vaulted ceiling's. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

WishNewFish August 8, 2017 Author August 8, 2017 Anyone used one hook and hanged both wires from one hooks? I know it is better for redundancy just it case one hook gives up, other will be able to hold the light, but any other disadvantages with adjusting etc?

Usually you have two points holding your lights, hooks or not. I have used hooks. I used planter ceiling hangers and toggle bolts. I also used hooks to suspend my canopy, a total of 8 hooks around a 6x2' area in my ceiling.

If both sets of wires go to one hook, then may have a potential problem with the light twisting a little if there's a breeze in the room - or of it not aligning easily with the weight of the cord coming off one side.
WishNewFish August 9, 2017 Author August 9, 2017 Thanks all for your input, The difficult part is measurement calculations and double checking if the ceiling measurements align with how it hangs on the tank. Despite triple checking it the lights still came slightly angled. Attached are the picture. Used ceiling anchor hook and used photo frame wire and did a knot.
