A few of these guys hitchhiked in and I love them. They are hardy and appear to graze on algae on my glass at night. Would like more. Please share any observation and info you have on them. Thanks :)

Looks like it

It's a little hard to tell, but if there are eye stalks, it is Florida fighting conch, if not it's a mud whelk...

Thanks for the response it very well could be! I need to get my hands on a magnify glass. They are small. While google searching for Florida fighting conch I came across strombus grazer by accident. They look really similar to that also. I can rule out whelk since they are feeding on the algae in the glass. Their mouth is pretty visible.

It looks like a tiny kind of beneficial snail that I used to have - think I got them from Tom Land, perhaps he can weigh in.  If I recall correctly, they were some sort of dwarf conch.

Its not a nassarius.

I think I remember reading somewhere that true conchs have two eye stalks whereas whelks have one. So that may be a good sign for beneficial vs predatory. I'm sure there are exceptions though.

Wow, Dave. That was YEARS ago. They were breeding in my tank. Yeah, it looks like a Columbellid snail

Thanks everyone that helped. They are columbellid snails. I thought I had only two that came in on some frags. I removed them before dipping and placed them in the tank. Now there are 15-20 probably more! I hope they continue to reproduce so I can stop buying snails. Updated video of several just at the front of the tank
