treesprite April 12, 2017 Share April 12, 2017 I'm talking about clubs that exist somewhere besides just the internet. Anyone know?

sethsolomon April 12, 2017 Share April 12, 2017 Lots of areas don't have local clubs. So most are part of online "clubs" Sent from my SM-G930U using Tapatalk

mari.harutunian April 12, 2017 Share April 12, 2017 Where did that number come from?Probably a joke. It's impossible to know for sure how many reefers are making it on their own vs. in clubs but you could take a poll at a LFS because we all need to buy a lot of the same stuff. Vayeate April 13, 2017 Share April 13, 2017 This is an interesting metric I would like to know. I wounder what would be the best way to gather this data? Something a statistician would know.
treesprite April 13, 2017 Author Share April 13, 2017 (edited) I can say that I had a saltwater tank for 10 years before discovering WAMAS (or any other club). There are all kinds of data to be had regarding club membership/non-membership of hobbyists. Not just about the membership itself, but about things many non-club members do differently than club members. Does anyone have the time to work on a data gathering project? treesprite April 14, 2017 Author Share April 14, 2017 collecting information simply for the sake of collecting information? Having the info could be used to encourage the development of more clubs, thereby promoting responsibility and conservation.
