Great approach. Different than other approaches in that it requires daily maintenance, but it's simple and, as a consequence, economical.

I saw it at MACNA San Diego.  It looked pretty nice, and seems like a great idea.  I can't quite get over the price of it, but I realize it costs that much for a bit of plastic because he's not manufacturing a million of them.  When I have anthias and other things in the tank that like to eat all day I will probably get one.

I'm always in a rush before work, I wouldn't have time to do all that assembly.

He doesn't actually use an insulated container.  You fill an outer container with water and freeze it overnight.  Then you mix fish food with water in the silicone popsicle stick molds and freeze them to use throughout the week.  I think the idea is that the outer frozen container, which looks like a double-walled pint glass, keeps the popsicle inside cold enough throughout the day to take a good 8-9 hours to melt fully.  I assume he tried a variety of materials and configurations until he got one that worked with the right thaw parameters.

And IMO for how expensive things can be in this hobby, this is pretty inexpensive.
