astroboy October 7, 2015 October 7, 2015 I'm setting up a 29 gallon tank, planning on having an anemone and clowns. I have everything I need from earlier tanks but the lights. Any suggestions on what a good LED make or wattage would be? Thanks!
sethsolomon October 7, 2015 October 7, 2015 (edited) I would say Hydra 26 or 2 ai primes or a china black boxes depending on your budget. Hydra 26 would be my highest recommendation. astroboy October 7, 2015 Author October 7, 2015 It's a standard 29. Probably commercial, as opposed to DIY.
epleeds October 7, 2015 October 7, 2015 I would go for a ocean revive T247. I just started using them and I am really impressed for the cost. They sell em on Amazon.
lutz123 October 7, 2015 October 7, 2015 (edited) My advice isn't really specific brand, but just be careful not to get a light that is way more than you need. Oftentimes these powerful lights need to be hung so high you would have a ton of light spillage. I really like Kessils for smaller tanks. Their website has recommendations based on tank size. I am impressed with OR lights as well, but I am concerned that they may be pretty big for a tank that narrow. Edited October 7, 2015 by lutz123
