John-Solo September 23, 2015 Share September 23, 2015 Hi, new to saltwater. I just finished cycling my tank and added my clean up crew 2 days ago. This morning I looked in my tank and saw something on one of the rocks I don't remember being there. Can anyone help me identify it? I've looked on line and haven't seen any similar pics. AlanM September 23, 2015 Share September 23, 2015 Kinda clear color, but either a tubeworm or a vermetid snail?

sethsolomon September 23, 2015 Share September 23, 2015 my vote is sponge or tunicate. Vermitid snails don't have transparent shells.
John-Solo September 23, 2015 Author Share September 23, 2015 Are they bad? Should I remove the rock or do something about it? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
sethsolomon September 23, 2015 Share September 23, 2015 Are they bad? Should I remove the rock or do something about it? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I would leave them. Sponges and tunicates are filter feeders. They will help keep your water cleaner. Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk
