Wondering who's responsible for replacing your package when it's delivered to the wrong address and is deemed lost or stolen.........the courier or the vendor?

As long as you input the correct address the vendor should take whatever action appropriate to take care of you. They will need to deal with the delivery service.

Depends on their policy. This happened to my wife before, and the vendor was favored due to their policies. I try to require a so nature if I ever ship anything of value.

I just bought stuffs from the BRS and my address was not change. The UPS tracking said it delivered to my front door, however, I did not find them.  I call BRS yesterday afternoon and told them that i did not receive my packages. BRS called the UPS and put the claim in. UPS called me back and told me that they would investigate it. Around 730 PM last night UPS man came to my door and asked me do I have packages that was not belong to me. I told him that I was waiting for my packages. They supposed to deliver to me two days ago. He told me that the center told to come to me and pick up the packages that was not me and was delivered to me wrong. I told him I did not have any packages. He went out to his truck and made a call. For some reasons the UPS shipped to my end of the road neighbor. He ran to that house and retrieved the packages and delivered to me last. I was so upset because it was left outside and it was all wet because of raining for the last 2 days.

No only is the address correct, it's marked clearly and legibly...........my street is marked "PLACE" but packages are constantly left on street marked "STREET." The vendors have replaced merchandise several times (once a pair of $700.00 shoes) and it seems to me that that could/would get expensive and personally I would consider changing couriers.

If they're going to leave it on the wrong street I can't see how requiring a signature would help me.

So, in the end you got it. Were any of the contents damaged? If so, you should be relaying that to BRS and get them to fix it.

It's a pain in the butt, I know. I had the same thing happen once where they delivered to a house on another street (different name and different house number!). Somehow, they managed to find it and get the package to me days late.

I asked the Customer Service Rep if they provide the drivers with GPS.........she stated that not only are they provided GPS but the address is clearly marked on the package.

No, but it would help accountability. If somebody signed, and it was the wrong address, not your fault.

In out instance it was us saying "we never got it," and the vendor saying, "we dropped it off at that address." Maybe it was stolen, maybe it was us vs. them, who knows, but the signature creates accountability, and ensures that somebody has to be present to accept said package.

If they dropped it off at a completely different address, they are at fault. Like Tom said, it's a pain, but you've just got to go through the motions.

Been there, Done that.......even went as far as having the driver bring it out and call me when they get to address only to find out they're on the wrong street.

As said above, you don't have to deal with the delivery service. Best way to prevents future issue is to either do signature confirmation or pickup at their local locations.

Lucky for you it's only delivery service. I had police banging on my door @ 5 am serveral times looking for someone that lived on cross street with the same address number but different street name!

I'll go one up on you........I had the police BREAK DOWN MY DOOR looking for someone that lived on the other street with the same address number but different street name!

And.......the City didn't want to pay for the damages stating that the Judge signed off on the warrant so it had to be

good!!!!!! After 6 months of going back and forth and threats of a law suit they finally paid.

I prefer to buy local but it's not always feasible due to the overhead cost to the LFS. It's not only the delivery service but even the

Post Office can't seem to get it right......

I feel your pain, you should live where your address starts with HC and a box number, we just did switch to 911 addresses.
