Paulcosta October 9, 2014 October 9, 2014 Hello All, I am in the market for a new AIO and wanted to get some opinions on which one I should go with. Please let me know your thoughts?
RW09903 October 9, 2014 October 9, 2014 I've always been a fan of the clean/sleeker look you get with a Nuvo 38.
brad908 October 9, 2014 October 9, 2014 Have you looked at the pico aquariums 20g? It is a little smaller than the biocube and nuvo, but the build quality will be top notch. He also does custom tanks http://www.picoaquariums.com/pico-20g-/76-pico-20g.html

pizzaguy October 9, 2014 October 9, 2014 I've had both and really no comparison. The nuvo is far superior to bio cubes. I currently have a nuvo 30 with there skimmer and reactor and it works flawlessly.
Ryan S October 9, 2014 October 9, 2014 I'm enjoying my 29g biocube. They are cheap and easy to come by. Lots of easy mods you can do to them too. nuvo's are great though. do they have lids? i wouldn't want one w/o a lid b/c fish would jump out, but if they do, and you want that more sharp look, they might be a great choice too!

Paulcosta October 9, 2014 Author October 9, 2014 Thanks guys!!! i think im leaning towards a nuvo 38, with a full size ghost, a kessil A360we, IM midsize reactor..
Ryan S October 9, 2014 October 9, 2014 not among the choices, but I really liked the new Fluval Sea EVO tanks coming out next year. http://blog.aquanerd.com/2014/08/fluval-sea-evo-5.html http://reefbuilders.com/2014/08/30/fluval-sea-evo12-nano-tank/ http://www.google.com/url?url=http://www.mrsaltwatertank.com/mr-saltwater-tank-covers-macna-2014-part-1/&rct=j&frm=1&q=&esrc=s&sa=U&ei=M-M2VPWzF8zygwSj6YKQCg&ved=0CBQQFjAA&usg=AFQjCNFlHZpzcOur5LVmTFP-iCgVqi0-qA
MrSexyShrimp October 10, 2014 October 10, 2014 The Nuvo Fusion 40 is the newer model to replace the Nuvo 38. It has squared corners w/ black silicone rather than bent glass. It comes with a mesh lid vs glass lid. I think the bent glass models are all being discontinued.

I have been looking at that one too...just trying to justify the price difference for just two extra gallons
MrSexyShrimp October 10, 2014 October 10, 2014 I have been looking at that one too...just trying to justify the price difference for just two extra gallons One consideration: I don't know if the rear chambers are different sizes, but I would assume going forward IM will release accessories designed to work with the 40. The smaller bent-glass nuvos had notorious issues with spontaneous cracking, but there do seem to be some google hits for the 38 cracking as well.
Paulcosta October 10, 2014 Author October 10, 2014 I wouldn't trust any nuvo. Why? have you had a bad experience?
brad908 October 10, 2014 October 10, 2014 Why? have you had a bad experience? There have been quite a few that have broken. They've tried fixing it by taking out the rounded edges on some of the new models. I would avoid a rounded corner model.
