Can you clarify? Glass Cages in TN? Mandalay Bay in Vegas?

It's mandalay fish, not Mandalay bay. I thought the casino burnt down fool! There actually is a nice public aquarium on the casino grounds of the Mandalay bay fwiw.

So I found this:

An early morning fire Thursday at a Dickson County fish tank and breeding business destroyed the facility and killed 6,000 tropical fish, according to the company office manager Donna Coone.

The Dickson County Rescue Squad worked the fire, which occurred about 4 a.m.

Two businesses are based at the same location at 1500 East Piney Road in Dickson: Glasscages and Mandalay Fish.

Glasscages manufactures aquariums, turtle tanks, sump tanks, terrariums, stands and canopies as well as aquarium setups, cut sheets of glass and acrylic, specialty glass.

Mandalay Fish sells and breeds tropical and saltwater fish.

The saltwater fish are still alive, Coone said.

The fire also destroyed a recently constructed wedding chapel on the grounds.

Wow, that is tragic that so many fish died.

So, who really gets married at a fish hatchery?

It is Tennessee ........

You are thinking about this all wrong! They have to get the fish married so they then can mate and have babies. It is only logical they have an on site chapel so they no longer have to take the fish to the chapel down the street.

sorry.. ment fish not bay.  Mandalay bay just comes out naturally.

Besides, the chapel down the street was just dedicated to Elvis weddings.  Sorry for another bad Tennessee joke.

I hope Glass Cages comes back into business quickly, they were a cheap source of glass for diy'ers like me.

I wonder why the news article said they were.  Glad they weren't because I will probably order a sump soon.
