zygote2k August 23, 2014 Share August 23, 2014 SO I notice when I hook up a skimmate locker to a skimmer, the foam head is reduced and the adjustment needs to be dialed up to get same performance as before. Ive noticed it with AVAST, SRO, MRC, and ETS skimmers. What's the deal? Is this somekind of back pressure issue? Where's Bill Nye or Origami when these questions arise? AlanM August 23, 2014 Share August 23, 2014 This weirds me out. I remember you mentioning it once. All I could think of afterwards is that now the bottom of the skimmer cup has a way for air to escape as well as the top holes, so I guess the foam would come up a bit higher. Maybe if you had more holes around the rim of the lid you would see less difference? The air could go out the bottom hole, down the drain line, and out the carbon can on top of the skimmate locker as well as out the lid?
Origami August 23, 2014 Share August 23, 2014 Take and post a picture of the connection to the locker, Rob. I can't imagine how the locker might create back pressure from a normal connection to the cup.
