YHSublime July 18, 2014 Share July 18, 2014 Looks good sir. Did you make any modifications to the stock lighting? When I started this hobby, I wanted to start with an Edge. I had it and everything. I couldn't find a retrofit kit for LED's to make it stay classy enough for my liking, and figured I wasn't going to be able to keep what I wanted within my (at the time) budget. I'm typing this up next to about 200 gallons of water, about a year and a half later. <sigh> BTW, I don't know how you got those pictures up sideways, but I don't know how to fix it! I purchased the Ultrabrite lighting system from Ebay , its supposed to be the best and cleanest system available for the Fluval Edge because it uses the stock hood cover, It comes in 9w to 36w costed $170 for the 18w and i am very happy with it , corals seem to be responding well . Very nice. DipG who posted up above had a beautiful edge as well that was pretty inspiring! Keep us posted on it! How about a list of equipment? Anything else different besides the lights? You thought about a mini ato? Maintenance schedule?
Tommy July 18, 2014 Author Share July 18, 2014 Besides the upgraded light everything else is pretty much stock besides the chemipure-elite and filter floss , heater is not needed this time of the year and weekly water change is 3 red solo cup …lol . Gotta work on my photo posting technique so those picture doesn't come out sideways , kinda weird because they are all correctly presented in my computer. It's a decent photo hosting site, once you create a free account, you can upload, and use the <IMG> tag links in place of where you want to leave a picture. Tommy July 21, 2014 Author Share July 21, 2014 How deep is your sand bed. I wanted a jaw fish but my bed wasnt deep enough. My sand bed is only about 1 inch ..all you need is some hiding place or porous rock and he'll be ok …but than again ..he's the only fish in there so he really doesn't need to hide much .
