craigdon July 15, 2014 Share July 15, 2014 Anybody have any idea what's going on with my Hammer Coral? It has what looks like four bubbles growing in the middle of the hammer. It looks like a few of the tenticles have swelled up and it's been like this for a few weeks now. I have attached a picture of a couple of the tenticles. wildcrazyjoker81 July 15, 2014 Share July 15, 2014 Probably splitting. My frogspawn do that from time to time.

gmerek2 July 16, 2014 Share July 16, 2014 Also consider too much lighting. Crob had his bubble after switching to LEDs. It wasn't properly acclimated to LED and the lights were turned up too high.
zygote2k July 16, 2014 Share July 16, 2014 The bubbles are part of the growth cycle. It has nothing to do with LED intensity. All of the Euphyilliads do it as part of regular growth. Watch the stalk after a bubble appears----- there's a new head there a few days later.

L8 2 RISE July 16, 2014 Share July 16, 2014 I've seen this exact thing on a blasto colony. It's been this way for at least 3 months
