Just came home and realize the calcium doser stayed on all day. Part A of brightwell calcium dripped all day. I just tested the water and calcium is in the high 500s and alk is 6.5. Should I compensate part B to bring up Alkalinity and wait for calcium to drop? Or do a water change and balance the levels? Anyone had this happen before?

Depending on where you normally keep your Alk, you could add a bit in slowly to get yourself back in line over a couple of days.

I had something similar happen awhile back, I dosed just the Alk for a day or two and I saw no ill effects.

same thing happened to me not to long ago. Don't panic, don't over react. I just kept dosing for alk until my levels evened up.

Okay thanks guys for the advise! So should I not dose part A until it is balanced? My Alk normally is at around 8 and because of the over dose, the Alkalinity dropped significantly.

My stomach turned in knots when I came home and saw the container almost empty.

Slowly bring your alk up to it's normally level, it will probably take a while, at least it did for me, at only 23ml a day, I have still not had to dose for calcium yet. Every tank is different, and I'm still learning the dosing thing, so take my advice with a grain of salt. My alk also dropped when my Calc shot up.

Thanks Isaac. I'm gonna start making some salt water just incase. If anything starts looking bad, I'm just gonna do a big water change.

Brightwell Reef Code B says " If below 7 dkh add product at the max rate of 5 ml per 10 gal of water daily until desired rate is reached"

I just don't know if adding more part B in top of what I'm dosing already will cause precipitation. My part A doser is adding 1.5 ml per hour. So that should be 36 ml per day. My tank is 90 gal with 20 gal sump.
