Flow-etry in Motion, 30 Gallon Anemone tank.

Recommended Posts

I've had a dry tank for two years now, looking to start anew.

A controller-less, AIO tank with primarily anemones.

Equipment:

30 gallon Innovative Marine AIO tank/stand

Ecotech Marine Radion

Ecotech Vortech MP10

Avast Marine ATO with custom smoked acrylic ATO container

Chauvet DJ PC-8 power panel

Eheim 150 Watt heater

Innovative Marine Media reactor

Tank as of 1/26/14 (start date), pretty right?

It's about time you get a tank up and running again!  What sort of anemones are you going to add?

I know its been sooo long. Its been my dream for a long time to do a tank of just BTA's, green, red, rainbow, even tan

I'm liking the tank. Are you doing a deep sand bed or is it just stacked up front from adding it?

Its up against the glass I had filled it about 30 min before I took the picture. I'm looking at a pretty shallow sand bed 1.5-2"

That tank looks familiar! :)

Glad to see it up and running again Jason, and look forward to your build.

Looks good!

Thanks a lot!

Looks good!

Thanks I appreciate it

How are the clowns getting along? Seem like trouble to have different types in such a small tank.

They're doing great, they're all ocellaris clowns. I picked them up from a wamas as a long established Trio. They're doing great. From exp. I wouldn't keep 2 different kinds of clowns especially aggressive ones such as clarkii or maroon/cheek spines unless you have at least a 4 ft tank with anems at opposing ends for hosting. 4 feet might even be a bit short

By the way HUGE HUGE thank you to the following people!
Orion: for selling me the set up in the first place

Brian Ward: For the clowns and 3 of my RBTA's

surf&turf: The reason I was able to get the clowns from Brian
ctenophore: For awesome equipment and ongoing support and build help
mexicanjavafish: for aquascaping help

Inspiration and encouragement from various wamas members

This is truly a WAMAS powered set up.

Thank you everyone for your help and support!

Pictures!

Yes yes, I'm trying to find a good camera app to work with the blue(er) spectrum lighting. Some of the colors are incredible.

So out of $260 of "exotic" BTA's I just bought 1 is dead, 2 are shrunk and facing away from the front glass, and the last has been snuggled up against two RBTA and appears to be being damaged by them...
I'm not so sure all BTA "get along"
