Orion January 27, 2014 January 27, 2014 If any of you are looking for a way to watch your tank when you are away, and have some cash to spend, pick up a Dropcam. They are pricey compared to cheaper alternatives, but the video quality, easy setup, and ease of use can't be beat. I bought the Pro version, and couldn't be happier. Very simple to use, and easy to setup in just 3 short steps. The video is HD quality, and it's clear as a bell on wifi or over a cellular LTE connection on your phone/tablet. Dropcam has apps for both iPhone and Android phones, and you can also view it via a webpage on Dropcam's website as well. Note: This camera will not link to the Apex Dashboard.
Matt LeBaron January 27, 2014 January 27, 2014 Thanks for the post. I might check this out when I have a bit of extra cash. I'm traveling a bit now and being able to take a look at the tank when I'm away from home could be useful.
Origami January 27, 2014 January 27, 2014 I'm smiling now. When I first read "drop cam," I'm thinking I can drop it into the tank... that would be cool. No such luck.

Mattiejay6 January 28, 2014 January 28, 2014 I wish the go pro could be wired to the apex... This is a cool camera though.
Jason Rhoads January 28, 2014 January 28, 2014 I saw a remote controlled submarine awhile back that had a video camera on it... This camera looks great, I love the image quality. Thanks for posting!
