wildcrazyjoker81 January 23, 2014 January 23, 2014 (edited) Tore down the tank to get my mata tang and orange clowns out for quarantine and the wife saw this critter roaming around. It has no hard shell, but looks like a snail body. Is it something else completely? The puncture wound is from me :-D Edited January 23, 2014 by wildcrazyjoker81

John Ford January 23, 2014 January 23, 2014 My favorite snail to watch. All mine are gone now, Not sure what happened to them.
Arkonen January 23, 2014 January 23, 2014 My favorite snail to watch. All mine are gone now, Not sure what happened to them. I had a ton of them until my cleaner shrimp discovered they were a tasty snack on a half shell.
wildcrazyjoker81 January 23, 2014 Author January 23, 2014 Thanks everyone. Back into the tank he goes.
Squishie89 January 23, 2014 January 23, 2014 Mine breed like mad. I saw one with a shell the other night as long as the width of my thumb nail! I was like, "You go girl!" I give them away to people who need/want them.
Coral Hind January 23, 2014 January 23, 2014 These are my favorite snails. I love how they can turn themselves over when they fall unlike the stupid snails that lay on their backs and die. My wrasses love eating them.
wildcrazyjoker81 January 23, 2014 Author January 23, 2014 Yeah I have 2 of them I have found thus far. I actually think these came from the ones Jessica (Squishie89) gave me at the last meeting . Hopefully my shrimp doesn't think of them as meals.
Coral Hind January 23, 2014 January 23, 2014 If you go to pick it up and the tail falls off don't freak out, it is a natural survival technique. It leaves the tail there so the predator can eat that while it crawls as fast as a snail can to safety.
